It’s going to be a great Summer fellas.

Hudson Odoi was probably Chelsea’s highest rated youngster and they’ve had a lot of good ones. Lost his way with the contract talks and the Bayern interest but maybe its starting to come together again a bit like Solanke(who I’d be fairly happy with too)

For £20m think it could be a clever signing that at worst could be a squad option or you could move on for similar money. He’d definitely be more effective on the left than Werner.

I'm pretty sure that's just an educated guess from the writer of that tweet, BUT you don't have to be very educated to know how Levy operates unfortunately . And although i would like some extreme high quality additions to challenge for the title it's more likely we'll be looking at opportunistic buys with the hope of snatching 4th and a decent cup run

it is what it is, we are what we are :contehmm:

If we do sign Werner, I'm going to REALLY struggle to start the season with any positivity.

I mean, Levy isn't meant to be making football decisions so this is clearly baiting the exact reactions it will get but if Lange, Munn and Ange don't read the room with Werner, I'm not sure what there is to say about it.

I know what you mean, but I'll judge at the end of the window. If he's brought in as cover/squad depth...I'm sort of ok with it, but we MUST sign a quality starting winger plus CF plus a quality midfielder.

99.9% of what gets put out is made up shit. The quicker you believe and accept that then the summer will be easier for you.

We can talk about who we want and all that shit but please don’t get excited or downbeat because of what some clown who knows absolutely nothing puts out.

Its pointless

Is CHO likely to eclipse Sonny over the next 12 months? .....If not; not interested.

Little doubt in my mind that Solomon can rough up the Europa League and make a few sub appearances elsewhere so I really don't see the point spending 20-30m on proverbial squad players.

Plus we've already seen he doesn't mesh too well with irregular game time.

I think, if he can walk, we’ll flip Solomon on. I was convinced from the start that was the only reason we bought him in.

. The problem is Spurs, unlike the top teams, are on a pay as you go basis and they will likely balance money spent on incoming players with outgoing sales to a greater degree than others.

Fuck knows what pay-as-you-go is meant to mean.

I'm sure this all sounded quite convincing as you typed it but (aside from Kane) our incoming fees have been pretty minimal for years now.... Then compare with the likes of Liverpool, Chavs & City.

(Incoming fees last 5 years - Euros... Nothing under 50m listed.)

City: 126m, 162m, 93m, 64m, 71m
Chavs: 269m, 67m, 154m, 57m, 163m
Liverpool: 60m, 80m (generally lower numbers but their net spend has been much lower under FSG than people here want to admit)
Arse: Their player income has dropped off massively granted; but have nothing to show for approx 700m net over the last 5 years)
Man U: Clusterfuck.

Spurs: 120m, 64m (Covid year aside; our net spend has increased since we opened the new stadium too.......)

City aside; no-one has mega-benches either.

This is going to get all the interactions it was designed to get.

Fair play though. Get the fans whipped up and keep the pressure on the club. At least from a PR perspective. They will know instantly how popular the idea of signing Werner is and how it will be perceived by the fans.
World's not even about "likes" anymore, just engagement, the age old "no such thing as bad publicity" reincarnated for a new generation...
