Match Dingo FC vs Tottenham Hotspur

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If a single player gets injured tonight then Levy should be forced to parade around North London naked with Ange ringing a bell behind him shouting "SHAME, SHAME, SHAME."

This is just an unnecessary risk at the end of a season. We complain about fixture congestion, yet are all too happy to push the players onto one of the longest flights in the world, give them jet lag then make them play fucking Newcastle for some reason.

Pre-season? Absolutely. No problem with that. This is just stupid. Are we going to start doing mid-season friendlies next year? Perhaps a "nice" trip to Saudi Arabia in December?

Ange sald in the press conference yesterday that it's in front of 80k in the MCG which if true, would be crazy. Shows the demand is there if nothing else.

The commercial exposure in Australia is really worth the effort of going all that way for one game?

Of course it is. I can imagine AIA put a bit of pressure on to make it all happen. Maybe even covered some of the costs under their marketing budget. Noticeable they have already released Ange interviews videos before the trip.

They/We have to take advantage of our managers status in his home country.

What’s the real effort? The club are paying the players anyway.

Book some flights and hotels. No different to a Europa league game and premier league away game the same week.

Less time to recover from injury pre season than post season.

Fixture congestion? What mugs have been complaining about that this season?

Played 41 games and numerous weeks off?

Fixture congestion bullshit. First class flights 5star hotel and an exhibition match. Great life if you can get it.

How many of our players are actually playing in the euros this summer?

And thus Spurs evoked an ancient Aussie curse...

Tottenham Hotspur stars have breached one of Aussie sport's biggest unwritten rules on Tuesday night in Melbourne simply by handling an AFL football.
Thousands of fans ventured down to AAMI Park for the side's open training session, excited to see manager Ange Postecoglou and superstars like Son Heung-min.
Spurs are in town for Global Football Week, where they will take on Newcastle in a friendly which has been described as pure 'madness' by Alan Shearer, with the fixture also facing criticism from England boss Gareth Southgate.

In the past, visiting foreign clubs often posed for photos with iconic Sherrin footballs - but Football Australia clamped down on the practice because it promotes another code.

That didn't stop a footy fan throwing a shiny red Sherrin onto the pitch after Spurs star Brennan Johnson beckoned for him to throw the ball to him as the team walked around the park.

'Ange! Ange, this is for you!' screamed the fan as he lobbed it over the fence.

Seconds later the Spurs player kindly tossed it back back into the crowd.

In 2022, Manchester United star Marcus Rashford posed for a photo with a Sherrin that was posted on the AFL's social media accounts.

Furious Australian football expert and TV commentator Lucy Zelic called out Football Australia for not preventing the 'f***ing embarrassing' image.

'Can someone tell me what the point of this is?' Zelic fumed on X.

'Is Marcus suddenly going to switch codes and sign for an AFL side? Go and pat a koala, meet with proud members of our Indigenous communities and spend time with grassroots FOOTBALL clubs.
