You've got your opinion, I've got mine. Every time I've seen him play for club or country I've always thought he was excellent and could play for any club in Europe. He's absolutely clear of the likes of Kulusevski, Johnson, Werner etc ability wise.
Of course you're entitled to your opinion, my good man.

That said, it don't change the facts re his lengthy injury history or his scoring stats.

No, I want there to be budget available to sign what we need.

And btw Udogie wasn't expensive. He was very well-scouted. If we sign a player who is 21/22 that is slightly different to Porro and maybe a year off being ready to take his spot, I'l be over the moon.

What I am saying is that you don't go and sign a player that you know is worse and never will be as good as what you have, just so they can be a back up.

Why is that so difficult to fucking grasp?

Because it is not black and white like that is it.
I already addressed the udogie and the likes signings but they are different, young up and coming players like that nobody really knows how they will do until they start playing.
As for the budget, it is what it is, if you think we are going to spend 200/300m on getting everything we need you haven’t been paying attention

Thinking we should do it and thinking we will do it are different.

as are

Wanting to win trophies and actually winning trophies

We are signing 1 more forward from here and it will be a striker that won't displace Richy. If you expect any different then you haven't been paying attention.

Marcus Edwards has expressed his desire to 'come home'

Having had that dream (in post above), I approve. It's a sign. Plus we get 50% of the sell-on fee, so that's a 50% discount, right?

Right?

I’ve watched this guy Gallagher playing for Chelski and England where he looked out of his depth and I don’t see anything impressive about him especially for a 60m asking price, better out there.

WE SHOULDN'T BE SIGNING ANY FUCKING SUBS

You only sign back ups and subs when you are happy with your level and want to consolidate. If you want to go up a level, you sign players to compete for starting roles now or young players that could compete for them in the future.

Why is that so hard to grasp?
Correct. Why do people want to sign subs? Subs will be subs for a reason. They are not good enough. Sign players that will battle or take Porro and Udogie’s places in the team. That’s the only way to improve. If we signed a rb and lb and Porro and Udogie are sitting on our bench battling to start them we are going to be successful. But no,let’s sign bench warmers who make us utterly shit when they play. Do they not remember Royal,Davies and Skipp at full back when they played.

I think most of the people that say this are now realising what they are signing up for with that mentality when you point it out to them but they are so married to the losing culture of the club they refuse to admit it.
