Just read this about Marmoush we have been linked to (dippers as well).

He couldn’t sound any more like what we Ange likes based on that analysis. Essentially a really high level 1v1 and ball carrying player with the data of being the best pressing forward in the Bundesliga and also overperforms his xG.

I used to have gambling problems and it does happen that if you remain close to where it is happening, no matter how long the time lapse, the risk of relapse increases!
With Toney, I get the impression he wasn’t a big gambler like a traditional gambling problem and was just bored, making small bets. Might be wrong

You are wrong.

He made at least 232 bets he shouldn’t have - over one illegal bet a week. He bet on his own club 126 times and tried to conceal the bets he made. He lied about his betting when questioned.

During his ban, instead of taking full responsibility, he said that by stopping him from training, the FA did not care about his mental health.

Toney isn’t alone though; gambling is a problem in football.

I guess we will be linked to every man and his dog until the window actually gets going. It looks like we will have quite a few outgoings which gives some space to sign a couple of big names if the chance arises.

So no club should ever sign players who have previous habits just in case they could re-offend again?
Never said that at all!
What I said was if you have a specific gambling habit and you were close to the action or in fact working in the industry you bet on then the chances of relapse obviously increase!

"Ivan Toney repeatedly placed bets on matches his own team were involved in, including 13 occasions when he backed his club to lose, and gave “clearly false” answers to the investigation into his breaches of gambling rules, an independent regulatory commission has found."

Risk is a funny thing, you may think it has reduced, but it is always there!

He's the Harry Kane of the fighting cock

Any day now a bayern forum will come along and poach him i'm sure

It'll be a sad day but we'll get through it

Talking of Bayern just hearing on Talkshite news that they’ve offered €30 million euros for Palinha which has been rejected as Fulham want closer to €50 million

Maybe but every single player you sign has a risk factor attached to them.

Thing is, the premier league is rife with betting and the connections to shady Asian betting syndicates are hard to shake. Brentford are owned by a professional gambler I think.

It’s not right to attach all the blame to the players who are surrounded by sharks but, that doesn’t mean that you throw 40m at a player that you know has issues with it and just hope for the best.
