I hope it's not the case, but I worry the problem might exist in a 'bubble'.

Visitors, Corps and Tourists buy up overpriced tickets, reducing ST numbers and raising prices overall. This is seen as scalable and highly profitable, hence leaning into it, year on year.

Until one day, we're in decline over two quarters, now three and there's no regular customers (i.e. ST holders and local fans) coming, since they can't or won't afford it, because they know they're being treated like fucking mugs and the bubble bursts, taking the investors/shareholders and the club with it. Next stop, Saudi ownership, cash injection, all too late and we're back in the noughties, fighting for scraps.

They made it pretty clear they didnt want (or need) "legacy fans" for their "project". "Legacy fans" dont go there and buy shirts, go to the ground early or late, stay oin the hotel or presumably even shop at the Sainsburys

As long as we are in the PL, no matter how shit we are, their model will work -the groups you mentioned will keep coming and pay the money

a bit sad but thats just what it is

To be fair, as a businessman, he's raised his profile. If the football side knocks the business side back, he'll have to react. But only enough to stabilise the ROI.
We'll do just enough to stay in the pack, its what we do. Yes we'll likely make a good signing or two but i'd almost guarantee we'll end up short in at least one area, cheap out on another (arguably already have with Werner) and maybe improve the first 11 in 1 or maximum 2 positions when it needs to be 3 or 4. Then we'll be bitter when Romero wants to leave next summer.

Question. Are we actually likely to make any decent signings besides the usual bargain basement shite? (yes I'm looking at you Werner). I was hoping for a world class CDM and winger, but all I see are links to mediocrity.
Unlikely we seem to more keen on bringing a work horse like Gallagher than a skilful bums off your seats type like eze. To be honest the way things are going we seem to drumming out any players who have a bit of mavericks in them. I wonder if players like gazza, Glenn, waddle , etc would get into an Ange team. I said a two seasons back under cunti that we needed some sparkle dust to elevate us. We never got it.

Biggest question... is he fast enough to overcome his lightweight body frame

He’s good enough.

Id rather Mitoma but Kubo would be cool too. Size less important than knowing how to draw a foul.

I’ve watched Kubo a few times. He’s much more talented than Mitoma.

He’d win absolutely shit tons of FKs and probably a few penalties as well. Kid drives defenders insane. To the point they commit the dumbest fouls you’d ever see

Ok. Well be back in September to chat then.

Have you been asleep since 2017?

Have you? It's a bit weird that you mention 2017 as some kind of gotcha when that was the period we went 18 months without signing a single player.

But yeah sure... the Bald Cunt will definitely spend what's needed this summer. I mean... he never has in the 20 odd years he's been in charge... but surely this is the year right?

What’s needed to beat Pep’s Guardiola or to satisfy Mike from a Crouch End?
