Data definitely seems to be the buzzword.

Said it before, some of the profiles we have been linked with all differ in the data so what data is actually driving them?

If its purely statistical then I can see why Jonathan David WOULD be of interest.

3620 minutes played last season (40 games) - 26 goals and 9 assists. Goal or assist every 103 minutes.

3421 minutes played the season before (38 games) - 26 goals, 4 assists. Goal or assist every 114 minutes.

3654 minutes the year before (41 games) - 19 goals and 0 assists. Goal or assist every 192 minutes.

Maybe that's the profile and character Ange wants? Hes someone who emigrated to Canada at a young age, was rejected at youth level by clubs in Europe yet still managed to make it there (and win Ligue 1 with Lille), clear improvement year on year...

I'm not an expert of David. And there's a few on here who have watched and aren't impressed by him. But there were also a few who weren't impressed by Vicario and Van De Ven aswell as a long list of others.

Saying that. I dont think we'll sign him anyway. 😂

He's very high up on the list according to Gold.

This is what I’ve thought. We don’t seem to be linked with a particular type, every article links us with a range of different strikers. It’s why I think we aren’t actually going to go for one.

Looks like Gimenez is a BS link anyway so we can both breath easy.

if David is high on the least I would guess that means Richy is staying and we end up going back in for a Kubo type on the RW.

If we did something like this:

David
Kubo
Eze

For the attacking refresh. I can get behind that.

I never expected us to spend huge on a Striker. They have the smallest role within Ange's system.

It's more important to get in another attacking mid and winger. I would spend big in both these areas.

In this article Ally Gold is denying that Spurs considering Gimenez or Zirkzee. He's also saying that although Spurs are intersted in Solanke, Openda and Gyokeres they'll be too costly; with leaves Spurs with Toney, David and Vlahovic...

Firmimho type profile is EXACTLY what I was chatting about with Jaynola Jaynola and maybe Doc Doc or nicoclaesen

If we find a CF that can press, drop deep and link play but also has a nose for a decent number of goals, that makes the forwards on either side even more dangerous
It's dependant on who both of the wide players are gonna be. If BOTH are Mane, Salah, Son type wide players who you can trust to get at around 20 a season.. Then this kind of center forward is ideal.. If the guy on the right wing is gonna be a Kulusevski. More of a creator, who likes to work from deeper.. Then we need more of a pure killer up front imo.

I agree.

Even Richarlison managed 12 goals and 4 assists in 18 starts...

And that's with attackers that don't really fit the system at hand.

In all of Richarlison's time with us.. There's been about 2 months, around the winter time.. When his physical and mental state have been where he will have wanted it to be.. In that time he was one of the most prolific strikers in europe.. So the decision this summer has to be from the manager and the club, how hard is it going to be in their view, to get him and keep him in the right shape? If they think it's achievable over a long period of time, then I think he's worth persisting with.. Providing another forward is brought in so we're not short if his injuries are a problem.

Yup it does indeed.

I guess we could already get 20 goals from Son and Brennan is likely to be 10 G 10A ish next season.

But if we sign David, that RW signing needs to be fucking Elite really
