It's a two-way thing, the player has to be motivated by the challenge that Tottenham faces, and Ange has to be convinced that they are.

If Doué (or both Doué's) see the PSG path as desirable then they weren't right for us.

That is the big selling point from Ange, players will know that when they win something with the club (especially if it is the League) you will not be able to match it?

Jesus wept ,why is Son being mentioned as a back up striker? He’s no good there and if we sold Richy and his replacement was injured or knackered after countless games or badly out of form we,would really struggle.

Preferably 2, one to replace Richarlison and one to fight for the starting position with the Richy replacement. I however think we can manage with a Richy replacement only and Deki, Son, Lanksher, Parrot, Scarlett as backups.

I would probably be happier with a high profile striker (Isak, Openda? Ferguson?) and nothing more than with two meh-strikers.

I don’t care about replacements / back ups, I just want one stellar striker like Gyokeres and fine to take take a risk on Son and yoots for the first 20 games until Xmas as cover

You know we are one of the wealthiest football clubs in the world at the moment, don't you?

Us as a fanbase needs to stop the thinking we have always had, " we can't afford the wages" " he won't come here to sit on the bench".

YES we used to be run that way! But almost every sign leads to that Levy actually puts more money in nowadays .

And what every other top club can afford(bar maybe City still) we can afford too.
