Just read that Plymouth want Phillips and Devine back on loan again.

I think it depends on how the rest of our transfer window goes and what Ange makes of those two in early pre-season.

If not those two there are several other youngsters for whom a Championship loan would be suitable

''Fabrizio Romano says Aston Villa continue to hold an interest in Giovani Lo Celso, although the Tottenham man was never their number-one midfield target.''

Great and Watkins wasn't our number one target either, let's do a swap!!

Dele Alli is a free agent, I don't know where he might fit into our team now, maybe he'd be ok as a backup to Maddison until Devine has another loan year?
As much as I dearly want him to rediscover his love for the game and string together a slew of matches it can’t be here. Firstly, he needs to play regularly and get back into the rhythm of matches. Secondly, the expectation here would be too much. If he’s not scoring or doing the things he did before the crowd will be on his back a bit with the groans and sighs. He needs to go somewhere with a blank slate and find his confidence again.

Why the fuck did someone mention Désiré Doué. I had never fucking heard of him before last week and now after watching a 4 minute YouTube compilation I'm going to rate our window as a 0/10 unless we sign him.

Thanks a lot.

After watching him a little and looking at the data I'd prefer Doue over Eze and I reckon he fits the winger role better.

After watching the 4 minute YouTube compilation, I feel like I know everything there is to know about him and can say that for the money Eze will cost, it's a no brainer going for Doue as as you've said, he fits the winger role better. Apparently he's also comfortable as an attacking mid which ticks that box too.

He looks far more comfortable in a 1v1 situation and running at players which is what I think we all thought Johnson would be like (not writing him off, I reckon he'll get better). We desperately need wingers who can make fullbacks shit themselves, Doue looks like he'd be much better at doing that than Eze.

I think that a run in a another league could do wonders for Dele. Turkey was probably too much of a culture shock but something like the MLS could be what the doctor ordered.

Just keep him out of the big party cities like LA, New York or Miami.

Wilhoft-King looked decent in his first year, out injured for close on a year, has struggled for game time since then as he's competing with Hall, Abbott, Olusesi and Kyerematen. Declined a pro contract at Spurs so left at end of his scholarship.

Only offered a 2 year contract by ManCity suggesting he's there to fill a hole in their youth production line. Not sure its a great choice for him although no doubt he's paid well.
Gets him a nice move to Southampton in a couple of years.

Throwing it out there but I would sign Alfie Doughty.
Realise it won’t be a popular signing and will be accused of lacking ambition but:
a) we’re short on HG
b) won’t “break the bank” thus allowing for bigger expenditure up top where it’s needed
c) distinct lack of left sided options who could play the role Udogie does for us
d) stood out as one of the more positive players in an overall poor side but has prem experience

I don’t think we should sign another CB as I believe with Dragusin and then Dorrington, Phillips and next year Vuskovic we supposedly have amazing talents coming through so need to give them the minutes. Davies can see out his last year of contract as a solid but underwhelming left CB back up.
