I think what he's saying is that Poch played Dembele on the wing, which he did.

Then Mason and Bentaleb got injured so he started him deeper. Rest is history.
I don't remember him on the wing. He was a medicore striker for most of his career before Jol moved him to CM and thats when we got him. ( Like Joelinton at Newcastle).

Odd we played him on the wing. Transfer market has him have 2 games at RM later in the season.

I remember a game in particular, game at Old Trafford where he was on the wing and he was brilliant. Man Utd won the game 1-0. Kyle Walker OG. Think it was the opening day of the 15/16 season.

Dembele regularly played either CAM for us or on the wing (for a brief spell) , especially in Pochs first season. And for the large part was pretty ineffective. Subbed off at HT so many times. So much so that most Spurs were happy to see him sold.

Luckily, we ended up moving him back and he became what he did.
