It's not like he's done anything much for us.

If we're not going to use him (he's not good enough), then best off getting what we can and getting him off our books. In order to build a better squad, sometimes we're just going to have to accept we aren't going to get good money for some of our unwanted...

Modest price for Parrott, but with proper sell-on clause can go easily over 10m. Since we have Veliz, Scarlett and Lankshear in our pipeline at ST, we had to move someone on, and seems it’s correct decision based on age, contract situation and current market value.

Hopefully this is the start of getting players out. Emerson next. Then hopefully Hojbjerg when he's back from his holiday and then Lo Celso once he's back from Copa.

If he were at Man City or Chelsea I bet they get at least double that. We never seem to get much for our players.

Edit: like others have said hopefully we have a sell on. That's more our thing.

AZ's record signing is Mounir El Hamdaoui for 7 million euro.

The Eredivisie doesn't do big fees.

The record for the entire league was when we made Ajax sign Bergwijn for 31 million euro. Remove Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV and the league record drops back down to 7 million. No other clubs in the league but those two buy players for fees in the double digits.
 
Good money for Parrott, a Championship player in the eyes of many. Why would anyone pay more than that?

Should accept what we can for Royal, Lo Celso and Hojberg as well. Get them out of the club and off the wage bill.
