Yeah, game over.

Was fun whilst it lasted. Hopefully it gets confirmed at some point that we never had a chance in the first place so I can cope better.

What kind of confirmation would help you?

Some players you want but they go elsewhere, if we are scouting well enough then they have another plan.

The big thing is time. Ange was public about wanting attackers through the door early. There was noise the club wanted 2 or 3 done by the end of next week.

Looks like none of that is happening. It’s felt like a “Welcome to Levy’s hotspur” window for Ange for a while now. Starting to look more and more like the budget isn’t there this summer

Does this rule us out? Bayern have about 40 wingers he'd be competing with. Tel who has had barely any minutes there in two seasons. And Kompany as a manager, while we have Ange whispering sweet nothings in their ear. We did manage to gazump them over Dragusin too...

Now if it were PSG I'd say definitely, we're out of the running. But I can see a kid in France being keen on a move to the Prem where he'd get more game time than Germany. Let's see.

Looks like we know the plan.

Eze, Neto, Doue

Sure, there might be someone out of the blue, but those were the three names banded about by people pretty well informed.

And in all honesty, not getting Doue is the one that would frustrate me most.

Ezes price was always going to be a problem and Neto has the injury worries and a large price that's not worthy of the potential risk.

I can 100% see a scenario where Doue is either signed and sent back on loan to Rennes for a year whilst Bayern look to rid of Coman, Gnabry, Sane over that time or they just sign him and give him the minutes.

We don't know Kompanys feelings on Tel. He may see him as a future Kane replacement in a few years instead.

Kane
Doue - Musiala - Olise

As a free flowing attack behind Kane is frightening. With Palinha mopping up just behind? Ooft.

I don't think we have a chance tbh. We were in the running for Dragusin months before Bayern got involved. The agent himself said the only reason Dragusin came was because we got there first. Bayern offered more!

So, PSG are going to keep Xavi Simons after talks with Luis Enrique and Bayern will go get Doue for about 40-45m.

Eze better be on the cards.

Yeah I think we are out of Bayern have opened the bidding. Fine if like with dragusin if they come in and try and Nick him but I can’t see us going after them. Who knows though, PL and all that.

I'm not too sure about this. Usually players who agree to one of those loan-back deals are the ones who haven't truly broken out yet, the Sarrs and Udogies. Doue is a bona fide wonderkid and being talked about for PSG, Bayern, Spurs; I can't see him wanting to spend another year fannying about in another Ligue 1 relegation battle when he could be fighting for UCL spots or titles.

As for Coman, Gnabry, Sane - they won't be easily gotten rid of, they're all on mega wages and I can't see those first two having many takers unless they're willing to take big wage cuts. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they only manage to move on one of them this summer which could well dent their Doue pursuit.

I don't really see any reason as to why it would dent their pursuit.

They've already had a bid of €35m rejected and readying a second bid.

Well for the reason I already explained - Doue might decide he doesn't want to move to a club where he's potentially competing with Gnabry, Sane, Tel, Musiala, Coman, Muller, Davies, Olise and Irankunda for minutes.

Let's see. My guess is it'll be PSG.

He wants to.

My hunch is that Doue will sign for Bayern and PSG will keep Xavi Simons instead.

Spurs end up with no one. Happy days.
