A pint of Buckfast with an Irn Bru top, the drink of champions!

(I've never tried either).

This ‘teenager ’ after his first bottle of Buckfast!

Strongest team for for first 60 minutes to ensure we score goals, wholesale changes after that, but leaving a strong(ish) core team for last 30 odd minutes to see out the match :

Austin,
Porro, Phillips, Davies, Donley
Maddison, Bissouma, Kulusevski
Son, Johnson, Solomon

Subs :
Whiteman or Gunter for Austin
Gray for Porro
Royal for Phillips
Byfield for Davies
Abbott for Donley
Hall for Maddison
Skipp for Bissouma
Bergvall for Kulusevski
Moore for Son
Scarlett for Johnson
Werner for Solomon

That's probably as strong as we can go if Richarlison, Udogie and Dorrington still out injured.

Might be able to include Devine, Santiago and a couple of others if available. No sign of Gil ?

Ange may choose to play a couple of youngsters in starting line up for experience - and to have a stronger core for the last 30 mins which is otherwise quite inexperienced.

Assume Vicario, Dragusin, Romero, Van de Ven, Lo Celso still on hols.

NB. Hearts are a week or so further into their preseason fitnesswise

Ange will probably change the team after 45 minutes, that's what he did vs Cambridge, and what he did last pre-season.

The young boys are getting a good look in it seems. Even if most of them don’t make it to the first team, being around the likes of Gray and Bergvall means they will see the standard set by their peers that they need to aim for.
