Chavski currently have

Enzo, Caicedo, Dewsbury-Hall, Lavia, Chuckwemka, Ugochuckwu, Casadei and Gallagher as central options not to mention spending big on players like Santos and Kellyman for the future in that position.

Gallagher has a year left and it doesn't look like he's signing a new contract. Think he will eventually (later on in the window) be sold.

You can't kill them

It’s truly disturbing that we’re still sniffing around this dyed-in-the-wool Chelsea spiv.

I imagine it’s mostly because our pressing disappeared in the 2nd half of last season and he’s one of the better guys at leading a press in the league.

I take your point about Chelsea but even they got tremendous help in moving a pile of deadwood to Saudi.

That is my entire point though. Chelsea, under 2 different owners, have managed to get big fees for players they don't even want. David Luiz to PSG, Oscar to China, it happens so often it must be a plan.
Sure, they will have hangers on. The difference between them and us though is their hangers ons are just disgarded and replaced in the squad. We on the other hand don't dare do that. Either they're sold or they're in the squad. I can't actually remember now, but didn't Lloris take up a squad space last season ?

You two are quoting players only you two have mentioned and wanking yourselves silly over it.

The club does a lot of good work. Adding to that only makes us better.

What do you expect, you completely bottled this question:

OK....I'm going to gift you 200 million to improve our squad and make us trophy winners.

Who you buying? And does that make us a trophy winning team this season?

What else can we do apart from speculate if you're not willing to give us any names?

Everyone knows exactly what a Spurs transfer window is and how a Spurs transfer window goes. So getting worked up over the same thing every 6 months seems like an incredible waste of energy.

Especially when there's 7 weeks of the window left and we're coming off the back of two big international tournaments.

I am aware of how rich we are. We just spent 40m on an unproven 18 year old. Doesn't really mean much when the Spurs business model is to sell before we buy and look at deals that benefit us financially. Whether it's buying some of the best young talent in world football (Udogie, Sarr, Bergvall, Gray) or ready made talents that managers want (Maddison, Richarlison, hopefully Eze)

People creating unrealistic fantasy transfer windows in their head just to have something to be disappointed about come the end of the window.
If we buy players first and then can’t sell or loan the ones we don’t want we’d have such so many players with too many that could not be named in either our domestic or European squads. Their value would shrink way down.Wages would be ridiculous. Players not in squad , what would they do….unrest.
