United have Zirkzee since a few days ago and were discussing throughout tournament, they also have agreed personal terms with Ugarte. The Euros and Copa being on is not an excuse.
The only reason its acceptable is not to splash cash on a player who has had a good tournament, like Woolwich going after calafiori, have him, aint worth 50 mill.
But we need a back up LCB, LB and a standout striker so bad, one of those should have being signed before now. Maybe the 2nd week of August before we get any more business done.

People take the piss with the idea that buying a player isn’t like going to the shops for a pint of milk, but it is a very complex thing to complete. Piss easy on FM but not in reality.
So many factors to be taken care of before a signing can be made and before anyone points out that other teams have made a few deals, some are easier than others.
We’ll see where we are when the window closes as always. And won’t even know if the window was successful for a couple of seasons at least.

I’ve never seen it with Scarlett. He’s never made me sit up and go, “He’s got something.” With a young player it’s either great physical gifts or supreme technique. With Scarlett, he looks sound technically, but not standout, and he never had any real speed or strength.
Even before Kane blossomed physically under Poch, you could see his technique and that Sheringham-esque ability to spread the ball around and finish with both feet.
If it wasn’t for out club-trained issues I suspect Scarlett would be cut loose this summer or the next.
