I wouldn't, not sure the game is lending itself to strikers anymore, the position will more or less be in vogue in a couple of years so if no one is using out and out strikers you have less chance of making it.
It no way whatsoever will it be vogue. Every team still plays with a centre forward. There’s obviously different ways of playing and the game will evolve again and 2 strikers will be a thing again and for the better. One up pish just makes it easy for defenders. They wouldn’t know what to do coming up against two strikers. It needs to be brought back and it will. Loved watching inter Milan the season before last with Martinez and Lukaku. Inter still play with 2 up now and it’s great to watch.

So the latest are that a bloke living in a tree is the new ITK master???

Ben used to be pretty good. I think the 'living in a tree' bit came from when he climbed a tree, to get a better view of players going into the training area, and he was up there for a while, so it stuck.

The point is teams have stopped or will stop playing with specialist strikers, obviously teams will continue to play as CF but you won't see many more out and out CF's anymore, you actually rarely see it now, the fact that you mentioned Inter just proves my point, they are a handful of teams who don't play with wide forwards.

If we actually do sell Richy, top quality is the remit for his replacement. David, Gimenez, etc aren’t really much better.

Top top quality must be required coming in. He is a lot more useful and versatile than the mugs on here may realize, and the £60m fee reflects that.

We’d need a top striker like Goykeres or someone. lankshear/Veliz can be cover.

If we can get £60m from the Saudi it should be very possible.

None of this Ivan Toney or Jonathan David bollox.

If Richy does go to Saudi, then go and get the name at the top of the list. At least try to sing an elite-level forward. We know that Toney is a decent level in the prem and David is a decent level in France but a decent level doesn't help us. We need elite-level players up front it we want to dominate teams with an attacking system.

But it will never go away and it will come back to two up.

Don’t get me wrong £60m is a dream of a fee for Richarlison, to actually make a slight profit on him is incredible. Snap their hands off. But it must be reinvested into a real striker.

It'll always be the same story. We'll pay a semi-reasonable fee. £50-£60m
But it'll be for a player at a lower level club where our offer of £150k a week seems like a lot.
The "already good" forwards will already be on £200k+ a week and won't even go to the table.
The worst thing is Levy wouldn't even do it for a freebie if they were 30. You know the deal, nab someone like Lewendowski on a 1-2 year contract and almost guarantee 20 goals. But nope.
