How Dry should our Powder be?

We play inverted fullbacks, which ,earns the centrebacks have to cover them in wide areas, which means the centre of our defence is weakened. Therefore we need an out and out defensive midfielder to cover the central defenders. Bentamcur can play there as can Skipp and Bissouma but imho none of those are sufficiently solid enough. Work out who the best in that position is and spend whatever it takes. Same as centre forward.

There is just a myriad of problems isnt there

Son is not a 9

It does. Not work!

We’re in the EL that’s at least 8 European games

We need another striker as well as keeping Richarlison

I'm expecting the following:

In:
- Forward: Neto
- CM: Ramsey

Out:
- GLC
- Reg
- Emerson
- Gil
- Skipp

I can't see us signing another defender. I reckon Ange is okay with Dragusin/Gray/Spence/Davies.

Soooo many FootballManagers in here. . Wanting to get rid of half the team, and see every possible change of personell as an upgrade based on marginal better stats.

Clearly very few have coached themselves. How about buliding an actual team, and a force, based on the core of people who is already here?

We were fifth last year, and that with a new coach, and a bunch of new players. Some of them were very, solid upgrades from what we had. Do we even know that Ange want 3-5 more, new players, as repeatedly spoken in here?

Some continuity will do us good, and not only in the managers seat. We have one of the youngest teams, and have bought perfect, good talent also in this window with Gray and Bergvall.

We are in a good place, but reading in here, you would think we were in a ruin

Totally agree with you!

Sure we need wingers and a striker, but DMC is first on my list.

We were leaking goals left to right last season. And that can't keep happening if we wants to win something.

£5-10 each, send him on a 2 week break to the Algarve. Get this window really fired up. Who's in?
Raise Hand GIF by Nick Jonas

I still think we'll end up with either Gallagher or Ramsey. Only the club knows why, it just feels like the sort of opportunistic signing we make, even if they're not especially needed.

Add Neto and a left back and i reckon thats it unless we sell Richarlison, then it will probably be Toney late in the window when Brentford get twitchy.

Too much of the window has drifted by to suddenly bring in 5 or 6. I doubt the coaching team would want the disruption with the first game in 3 weeks.
Neto, Gallagher/Ramsey and a backup LB would be pretty disappointing. Especially after re-signing Werner and bringing in an 18yo with zero PL expo.

It would be shite. Only real first 11 upgrade is Neto and thats when he's fit. Gray i think will be a good signing but it would be difficult to imagine much of an improvement on last season. Hopefully its just my expectation management kicking in and they'll surprise us.
