He might want to run down his contract, giving himself more options then.

Personally I can't see them keeping Skipp around. Devine and Donley are better mids than him in Ange's system and Donley has shown some versatility in playing LB. I think Donley stats and Skipp goes.Keeping Skipp for the homegrown quota apparently.
I think we'll loan Devine and Donley. Better for them to get regular game time.
New official briefcase partnership ?Have a sneaky suspicion that today we get what the kids call a “Bomba”
Wherever he goes - he’s bound to win a trophy, that seems to be the way it works. We’ll loan him to Palace and they will somehow win the league with him as top scorerWell I hope he gets a premiership or a good championship loan.
He will have a year left when he finishes the loan, so in the same position as he is now. We just have to hope he does well and someone buys him. I would take 10m now . He has had two loans in Spain and done nothing. To be fair he didn’t do that much before we bought him. There’s almost no risk to Spurs though. It’s clear the worst that can happen is we just loan him out again for the extra year. There are quite a few Spanish clubs who seem willing to take him on.
The best that can happen is that he’s good for Girona and his stock goes up. Girona are a team in the champion’s league for the first time so have a lot of games and have a smallish squad. It’s likely he will get significant minutes.
Extending his contract for a year is smart because a player’s value goes down a lot when they just have a year left. The extension means we avoid this situation.
So what Spurs did is the smartest business decision, but I still reckon the most likely scenario is that he’s underwhelming and we just have to give him away.
They extended the contract , will have a year left at end of the loan
Unable to spend?..just bought a centre back for 17m. Already bought two other playersThey're not skint.
They're unable to spend because of FFP.
There's a big difference.
FFP doesn't stop teams building stadiums to improve their incomes
They extended the contract , will have a year left at end of the loan
Agree it's time to move Skipp, but I reckon we could get a good 15m for him. He's young, HG, had a good season at Norwich in a double pivot, good injury record.we could prob get 7-9 mill for skipp, should take that and run. the midfield is stacked with decent quality now which over time will only depreciate skipp through making him look out of his depth when he plays and also he will be starved of minutes as a lot in front of him. nice kid, hope he goes on to have a good career, but this level is too heavy for him.
desperate for a couple of attackers to get the juices going now. toney and chiesa and the place would be buzzing. for 70m its a no brainer.

Meanwhile the Extra Inch podcast have done an analysis of our squad and determined we
- should spend 30m on Kyle Walker Peters. As a left back. Because he's club trained.
- Should spend 70m on Eze
- Should spend 50m on another centre back (Todibo)
- Should sell Kulusevski
- Should buy another left back.
I make that 150m on players that don't even improve our first team while also selling our second most creative player last season in Kulu.
How has this podcast survived so long? Reminds me when Bardi did a video last summer slamming Vicario's shot stopping skills. That aged well.
No idea. Dont @ me, was really struggling for content.
Its £7m for one year. By all means whine about it, but then go find a player who would cost that much & who wouldn't block Moore's pathway while Son gradually steps back.Does it show good player selection though to want Werner who is now taking a squad place and on £165K /week? Is that the best Ange and scouting team could identify?
Selling a stake in the club is likely with the intention that the shareholders can realise funds from their original investment.Available capital is the main limiting factor preventing us from investing in the squad right now. Levy is asset rich but cash poor - his entire net worth is tied up in the club. Lewis is gone and was never interested in putting his money in anyway, his family less so.
We have a £400m FFP overhang that we can't make use of unless we borrow against the value of the club. But we already have £1Billion of debt tied up in the stadium, it's understandable the club doesn't want to add to that to invest in players.
The alternative: sell 10% of the club to an investor, freeing up cash and allowing Levy to realise some of his gains. Fine with it so long as that cash is invested in the squad.
We can have issues with who we sell 10% to but ultimately all these uber-rich types are lizards. If it's not Stavely it'd be some oligarch or Qatari oil baron or US finance bro like Boehly. You don't get that rich without being a scumbag.
Think I would prefer chiesa, but happy with either, although Netos injury list is quite concerning.Of all the attacking players "linked" I actually think Neto would be the biggest difference maker for the games he's actually fit for. Not sure what I want to happen to be honest, not too many obvious transfers there to be made.
Investors can stipulate that money is for investment, not just for paying off current shareholders.Selling a stake in the club is likely with the intention that the shareholders can realise funds from their original investment.
It does not mean those funds will find their way back into the club!
I'd prefer Raphinha to either but apparently the club seem obsessed with the idea of having at least one sicknote in the injury room.Think I would prefer chiesa, but happy with either, although Netos injury list is quite concerning.
Because last year we lost our two first choice centre backs, were forced to play Davies and dropped from 1st place to 5th.Why would you need to upgrade 4th place CB if you are just playing kids in Europe?
