Its £7m for one year. By all means whine about it, but then go find a player who would cost that much & who wouldn't block Moore's pathway while Son gradually steps back.
I have no issues with it as far as I can remember he does and has contributed... He was probably our best attacker for 5 of his 10 starts.

Atleast 2 or 3 times a game he will get to the by line and put in a cross.

Sonny will start and Werner is an experienced option until Moore comes of age.

Striker I’m not worried about. Son + Richy was 29 goals when either started in the middle. Unless an outrageous offer comes in for Richarlison, so we can turn around and buy Gyrokes, I’m fine with them.

DM - I think the succession plan from Bissouma to Gray has already been made.

All of our attention should be on LW and also a LCB/LB hybrid
Some fair points but I will die on the sword that Richarlison is not and will never be good enough for a team that are supposedly trying to compete at the top end of the league. He just has far too many weaknesses to his game.

Son is also not a striker and is not getting any younger.

We sold the best striker in the world and replaced him with no one. That point remains. We desperately desperately need to bring in a proven goalscorer this summer.

Think Chiesa is just so diminished by his injuries. Neto seems to pick up more muscle injuries, but his pace and threat when he does play is much greater. The few ideal top targets seem beyond our reach.
The top targets will be, they will only move to clubs who challenge and win stuff which we don't.
Or you have to pay big fees and wages, which again we are loathe to do as a club, we are second tier, the club can attract reasonably good or younger players but not the best.

Trusting him more than Dragusin in this system is taking it a bit too far imo.

Based on preseason I’d expect Ange to play Gray RCB and Dragusin LCB before Davies played… but I’d still be ok with him staying around as an influence on young players or for emergencies. Question is if he’d stick around for that?

Davies has one year left on his contract, I suspect he'll be happy to stay for an 11th year knowing he'll .be a back up.

He earned his coaching badges within last 12 months so may decide to transition to being a coach - maybe academy coach at Spurs who knows.

Selling a stake in the club is likely with the intention that the shareholders can realise funds from their original investment.

It does not mean those funds will find their way back into the club!

It can be made as a sale of existing shares (ie cash goes to shareholders) or a sale of new shares (ie money goes into Tottenham Hotspur) or a sale of existing shares plus a sale of new shares.

Gold's article implied at least some of shares would be new shares, but that maybe because Gold does not understand the subject

I'd prefer Raphinha to either but apparently the club seem obsessed with the idea of having at least one sicknote in the injury room.
Everytime I watched Raphina for Barca, including once in person, he was a cut in type who played as an inside forward.

I don’t think he’s a winger these days. Maybe he was at Leeds. Chiesa and Eze are inside forwards really but Eze is also a legitimate attacking midfielder who can play #8

Meanwhile the Extra Inch podcast have done an analysis of our squad and determined we

- should spend 30m on Kyle Walker Peters. As a left back. Because he's club trained.
- Should spend 70m on Eze
- Should spend 50m on another centre back (Todibo)
- Should sell Kulusevski
- Should buy another left back.

I make that 150m on players that don't even improve our first team while also selling our second most creative player last season in Kulu.

How has this podcast survived so long? Reminds me when Bardi did a video last summer slamming Vicario's shot stopping skills. That aged well.

I haven't seen the vid as it's hypothetical transfer stuff which IMO opinion is just a waste of time, I don't get why so many of you invest all your time on this stuff.

I think Bardi has a terrible football IQ, I tend to get triggered listening to him but Nathan however is fucking excellent.

I think we should also shift Kulu if other players come in- in Ange's system he can't play wide. He's very good when he comes inside off the line but Ange doesn't really want this, he wants his wingers to hold the width so his inverted FBs play inside (sure that's a simplification, Ange will ultimately want rotation from his players). For me Kulu only really works when playing centrally as a 10, I think he's very good here, very different to Madders who likes to collect the ball deep, whereas Kulu at 10 is more a false 9 and is good at holding the ball up.

I don't know our plans for incoming players but the vibe is that we are looking for wide players and ones that are good 1v1.

Maybe Kulu can stay and give us flexibility with his versatility and something different but Johnson is a better wide player than Kulu in Ange's system. I really like him when he's central (or when we first bought him when he cut in off his line), he's also a good presser and has either the 1st or 2nd most tackles won in the final third. But he may be surplus to requirements if we get the wide players or he becomes a rotation player for 10 but as mentioned above he's not like for like with madders in #10.
