A striker who has scored 103 goals in 206 games in Seire A is Pony.

I have seen people advocate for Richarlison who has 55 goals in 190 games in the Premier League.

Lautaro Martinez is the only top striker that I think we would could get right now and only a signing like this will tell player like Romero we are serious.

But most Spurs Fans seem to want to spend 60-80m on either Neto or Eze. While Neto would be a good signing his injury record is terrible while Eze is a player very similar to Madders and they cannot play in the same team because it would give us even less cover defensively.
Should we be in a position to go for a player of Lautaro’s level? Absolutely.

Would we go for him? Absolutely zero chance even mentioning the idea of it.

Levy would absolutely cack his britches at the thought of even attempting to go for a player at that end of the market.

The audacity of you even thinking it. You’ll sit nice and tight there now and you will be happy with Werner and Ivan Toney, like a good little Client Reference Number.

He’s not intelligent either with his movement
Thing is with Richarlison he isnt really a centre forward. Made his name at Watford and Everton as a left wing forward who put in a lot of effort, scored around 8/10 a season and was a nuisance to defenders. Only really went to CF at Everton when Calvert-Lewin got injured and we bought him as a utility forward who could cover Son, Kane and occasionaly the right . He just doesnt have a centre forwards instincts or goal poaching ability.

Can see us moving for Eze. Potentially Toney, or a winger but that’s a big maybe.

The whole market seems to be very dead this summer, very similar to last winter.

dont think it's dead, Man u , villa, Chelsea have done quite a bit. lots of clubs around the league have bought in many players. it's just ourselves, Woolwich, city and Liverpool who are a bit dead. Maybe we're all waiting on players from the finals/semi finals

Chelsea hope to buy Osimhen. How can they keep, doing this with all the new rules. I know, they sell, one of their hotels to themselves. Perhaps Levy should sell our hotel to ourself. Hang on though we haven’t built the hotel yet. Bugger!

Back in 2021 we agreed a fee with Inter forMartinez when they were cash strapped before Chelsea came in and purchase Lukaku so Inter pulled out, not sure he ever wanted or wants to leave Inter anyway.

United is a fair call, haven’t kept up with what Chelsea have done. I guess Villa has been active, just not sure if it’s actually improved them

And he can’t play wide for us because he can’t run away from players and can’t play with his back to goal against low block teams. This is why we should be looking to cash in if we can.

Ah yes that was a classic alright. Go in with an offer for a player when their team is cash strapped but then make a balls of it because another club that know what they’re doing get in before us and we’re left looking like mugs.
And when we didn’t get Martinez that summer what forward did we sign again? *checks notes* Ah yes, nobody.

A tale as old as time, my friend.

Keep away from the tin foil bro.

He's pricing himself out of a transfer with his wage demands.
