I’d take Solanke over Toney for what we need.

Solanke and Neto changes the physical and tactical proposition of defending our attack in a big way

I’ve been waiting for the link to resurface since we found out he has that release clause. I’m not convinced a return to london is what he needs.

Feels like the journalists are still pissing into the wind on our targets. I’m just over the moon we are targeting a striker!

Why are we so up in arms with a 1 in 2 striker for Bournemouth who is literally the architectural fit for Ange's pressing system?

But that is the likely source of Romano's information- agent or intermediary. I don't think he has sources inside the club anymore since Paratici stepped down.
It was confirmed earlier this year (or late last year) that Romano is fed information by agents and intermediaries.

Some clubs he obviously has links with. But he is mainly a mouthpiece for agents.

Because Patrick Bamford managed 17 goals for Leeds once.

Solanke was impressive last season. But he still has just 29 Prem goals in 134 at the age of 26....

So it's hard to know if it was a one off or if he actually has gone up a level. And I'm not sure that gamble is worth it.

I agree. He isn’t the right place to put our money. If Richy stays then sure, bring him in as competition but we all know that’s not how we roll.

There are just not many really good No 9s in world football currently. He scored 19 for little old Bournemouth last season, was largely considered one of the most talented players to ever come through Chelsea’s academy, made the wrong move to Liverpool at a young age. Richy has never scored more than 13 league goals.
yea hes defo a decent player, just not sure that hes at a level where he would improve us. id rather stick with richy if thats the options.

the number 9 has been on a decline for a long time, pep one of the big reasons for that. when you got players like lukaku going for 100m you know there's a serious drought on quality.
