What is he not good at?

Finishing? Can do pretty much every finish you need. Great in the air.

Movement? Really good movement in behind and in the box. Gets on the end of the exact chances we ttry to create.

Hold up? Has all the tools and technicals

Not without penalties they aren't. Solanke is just a better fit for how we play and a solid human being. Pressing striker with great movement and clinical finishing.

we have two wide forwards, a 10 and inverted full backs that push up so high and inside they basically become additional cams. the striker needs to be a box predator imo.

Also by being great in the air, he helps solve our defensive set piece weakness. He can take Kane’s near post zone and leave the CBs and Udogie to tackle the attackers in the central zone.

Any player we bring into the front line has to be technically excellent, able to hold onto the ball, able to recycle the ball.

We cannot cough the ball up. You won’t get away with it in the PL.

He has tremendous pace and strength just look at that chase with defender where he is miles behind. Catches him up then holds him off. Timo and BJ would have shot the bed. However the main thing is his ball control like it’s stick to his feet. How anyone can think our wingers are at the same level is beyond. This guy is made for spurs. He’ll add that spark and magic we have missed now for years.

Barring a very small handful of strikers, no one is a guarantee of goals, particularly if they haven't played in the Prem before.

I don’t think that is true. And Brentford play a very different style of football to us. It’s all about the quick counter attacks, not controlling the ball.

Before last season his record in the PL was poor- 6 goals in 22/23 and 3 goals in 19/20.

He wasn't included in the England squad, and nor was there a clamour for him to go from the PL viewing public.

We signed a "player like Solanke" a few seasons ago, decent pressing forward from a lower half club, name's Richarlison I believe. He never scored 19 goals in the Prem though.
