Same as when we had Kane, we needed an effective rotation option. Going back to last year I said we needed a striker and if Richarlison left we needed 2.

I think in the end we'll keep Richy and buy one.
Then we need two because Richy cannot hold up a ball. People had problems with Hojberg but as far as I can see Richarlison is a liability. Terrible touch and scored only once when it has not been first touch.

We seem to have got to a point now where even the supposed "tiers 1" journalists/outlets are to be ignored until someone's on their way to us for a medical. The amount of contradiction and conjecture from them, especially this summer regarding us, shows that we have become maybe the most impenetrable club, in regards to hearing transfer rumours. Really, its impossible to know what we're thinking/planning.

That's certainly not a bad thing at all. You don't want to be one of those clubs that leaks like a sieve. It just makes the transfer window a little more painful when you're not getting little dopamine hits of credible rumours every couple of hours

As I said earlier I’m not expecting those signings

I’m questioning why we don’t make them

ENIC have conditioned us not to expect them
I am going to say it I cannot see us making another signing this summer. It has too much of the feeling of the summer of 2018.

The problem is Daniel will not pay the asking price for a player because he always has to win the deal no matter what.

Take this Solanke situation if we want he should have been signed before the Tour because he was not selected for England. We have no competitors to sign him but we will not pay what Bournemouth want.

This is why we are stuck at the ceiling point where we will never probably go much further than 5th place. The fact is we got lucky under Poch. Harry emerged as one of the greatest players on the planet and a lot of other gambles paid off. I feel that was probably the peak of our journey unless 5/6 youngsters become good.
