They spoke to Romero personally and spoke to his camp around half way through last season. Romero stated he wanted to join Madrid and Ange was definitely aware but i don't think they ever spoke to the club.

? Initial post I quoted you were calling out people who feel club should have done more. So yea, I responded to it to ask - why cannot fan of the club want and maybe even expect more.
Gyokeres release clause is also 65m. He's currently on 40k a week; so, doubt he would be on more that 80k with us.

Maddison definitely isn't an 8. Lo Celso hasn't got the legs for the system and is probably leaving. Donley and Donley I don't think are particularly athletic enough. (though both have a place)
I think Ange wants a Gallagher, Ederson type who will press and hassle like mad men. We haven't really got one of those.
