I know we will have to wait and see, but it’s starting to look as if, the club are trying to take advice of situations rather than, back the manager fully with his requests.
Amazingly a leopard does not change it spots. We do S*** business and then struggle to get rid of the player after we purchased the wrong player.

Look how the only player still at the club that we signed in 2020 is Reguilon and we are desperate to get rid.

From the 2021 Summer window we still have Gil(only on loan) and Royale on our books.

Even the 2022 summer you can say every player but Udogie was a bust:
Perisic not suited to play Left Wing Back
Richarlison does he still play for us because even though he was on the tour he was apparently injured.
Bissouma we saw the best of him for 9 Games.
Forster back up keeper nothing special.

Neto, solanke and Gray certainly wouldn't have been the transfer window I was expecting after the final game
It would have been laughed at in May but we all get desperate. Neto is the standout but have we all suddenly forgotten his abysmal injury record? Solanke is a modest upgrade on Richarlison but again huge gamble, are we getting the player from last season or pretty much all his others? His 2 other seasons in the prem with Bournemouth he scored 6 and 3. Gray is a project player who will eventually do well imo. I dont think its anywhere near enough to shift the dial much on last season.

Solanke and Toney are more an upgrade on reliability than ability. Generally speaking, they'll be available for the bulk of the season (bar bans)

I was impressed with Neto every time I saw him play.
All once.

He needs to prove himself to be robust before anyone goes near him IMO.

The full extract goes on the contradict all that.

What positions/players are they looking at?

Tottenham have also been looking at a new No 8, an energetic midfielder to play alongside James Maddison.

At the start of the window, they worked on a potential move for Jacob Ramsey, but they could never agree a fee with Aston Villa, who ended up selling other players to help them comply with PSR. Postecoglou has been a big admirer of Conor Gallagher and Spurs have always had an eye on his situation at Chelsea, but he is now going to Atletico Madrid instead.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs will look for another option in this area of the pitch in the final weeks of the window
If Atleti get Gallagher, maybe we could talk to them about Rodrigo De Paul...

Guy is 30, has played circa 350 club games in Europe between Valencia, Udinese & Atletico...plus another 70 odd for Argentina. Used to winning big trophies (World Cup, Copa America x 2). And he's a right bulldog with that shithousery to him a la Cuti. Can run, tackle, pass, score.

Contract is up in 2026 so wouldn't cost the Earth. Plus they may be keen on GLC or even Bentancur/Biss in return. Salary likely to be 150-200k a week, though.

I think people are harsh on Brennan Johnson. His return last year was respectable for a first season. He's just become the scape goat for a lot of people.
Especially cause he ain't a RW, be it in Ange's system or else. Kid would be even better playing centrally, up there with Sonny...or a new CF like Solanke. But no way is the big fella changing his system, even for certain games. Way too stubborn. So the kid will keep being played out on the wing.
