Lauriente is the one you wanna sign from Sassuolo. Crazy to think a kid that talented about to play Serie B football, though for sure it's only a matter of days til he goes to a Juve/Napoli or Dortmund, PL top 8...

We really shot ourselves in the foot with that Werner deal ( Richard Arlison Richard Arlison you was rite from the off, brother).
He plays with blinkers on.

We should either look at Bakayoko, or a short term option of Coman or Rafinha and then revisit it next summer.

Losing out on Neto is a blessing in disguise. A couple stats:

Minutes played the last two seasons:
Bentancur: 2505
Richarlison: 2501
Neto: 2480

And I think that’s actually unfair to Richy and Bentancur (who are extremely injury prone) because Neto is the first name on the teamsheet at Wolves and Richy played behind Kane for a year and Lolo has had competition in the midfield.

More stats:
Neto’s 5 seasons at Wolves he’s played 6435 minutes. In Solanke’s two seasons since Bournemouth came back to the prem he’s played 6185 minutes. In Solanke’s last five seasons he’s played 15,356 minutes compared to Neto’s 6435 minutes.

Obviously you’ve gotta do more than just play, but health/fitness is 100% a skill.
Not to mention that we've had a nasty habit of players becoming crocked after they've signed for us. I hope the overhaul of the medical team might see that change, but I'd never ever bet on someone with Neto's injury record suddenly becoming fit and consistently available for us.

I think after spending big on Solanke I just can’t see it, we never make two huge marquee signings in one window to my knowledge.

How much would Eze cost? At least another £60 million, can’t see that happening. I would be shocked to be honest if it did.
You're probably right. Although everything points to us definitely being able to afford him. Wether or not the desire is there is a completely different matter of course.
And I wouldn't call Solanke a marquee signing either. A bread and butter signing to fill a gaping hole left by selling Kane a year ago.. Or much needed competition for Richarlison depending on your POV,....but Marquee signing?...nah, I ain't having that.

Or a player that absolutely suits Ange’s system. But given you don’t watch football, I wouldn’t expect you to know that.

Also, nobody fucking cares what you are or aren’t ‘having’.

No need to reply. Because again, nobody cares.

These levy deals of, lowball with players thrown in are a waste of time.
Either offer the money or, don't bother entering negotiations if , you are not prepared to match the conditions.

£45m plus Skipp was a good offer for a player with Neto’s injury record. Hardly a lowball offer.

But next time we have a potential transfer, why don’t you offer your services as part of the negotiation team. I’m sure your expertise would be greatly welcomed.

I believe in you, lad.

Fair enough offer for Neto, shows we are prepared to pay what's required and also prepared to let Skipp go.
Not lose any sleep missing out on Neto, made of glass and doesn't score and or assist enough.
