How Dry should our Powder be?

I wasn't talking about using Davies as LB. Cover for LCB should VDV need to go left. However, I think it'll be Spence that covers there if required.

Nor do I think we don't need another LB, just that it's not a pressing need right now. Maybe I wasn't totally clear on that in my previous post.

From my own perspective, immediate needs are a wide player, and I've been consistent on that since the window opened, and a creative midfielder to keep Maddison on his toes. My own choices would be Chiesa and Eze, but not fussed as long as we get players that can do what I believe those 2 can.

After that, yes I'd look at improving LB and maybe even the DM role, but the jury is out on that, for me, until we see whether Biss or Bentancur make that their own, as I'm not too sure Gray is quite ready for that yet.
Dragusin should play, we looked much more solid with him at CB and VDV left.

Just not a priority for me, Davies won’t really feature. If we have a complete injury melt down we can always buy in Jan

I'm not using "stats" I'm using goals. They're the entire point of the game, if you hadn't heard.

You'll never convince me we were interested in Neto, it was made up by the journos. What Spurs club have you followed for the past 25 years if you think we were going to spend £50M+ on a RW 12 months after spending £50M on a RW? All clickbait.
So to confirm, because of stats (or goals) you think Son, Solanke and Johnson is an attacking trio that can challenge for the title?

Some people really haven’t a clue.

Johnson is a talented youngster who played more games than we’d have liked last season because Kulu wasn’t quite good enough off the right. He’s not done so well that he’s “undroppable” even in your view surely?!

He has room to grow and let’s hope he gets there, but your posts scream of someone who doesn’t understand the game.

Time and time and time again last season we built well through the first 2 thirds of the pitch and cycled the ball out wide, only to have wide players that either;

A) came back inside to the congested area of the pitch
B) couldn’t beat their man and just recycle the ball back home.

We don’t have a great one on one threat out wide and we need it. It’s very simple….

Agree and then players like Johnson, Richy and Kulu adding something diff
That's the thing, those 3 would be perfectly acceptable as a BACK up forward trio to the likes of Son, Solanke, and (hopefully) Eze...

Problem was, we were playing them as our 1st choice attackers many times last season... Which they're not.

But great options as impact players... All three of them!

Gold said we'd be interested if we couldn't get our first choice.
Then who the hell is our first choice?

Sadly, no on Eze. My source says there are two other signings in the wings, one attacker and a defensive midfielder. No names at this stage. That’s all I can tell you for now.

man I think I’m getting the hang of this itk schtick. 🤣🤣🤣

We won’t sign a left back mate. Spence will be the cover and VDV if really needed. I’m happy with Spence being that guy or even pushing Udogie to start. Both not great defenders but great runners with the ball and are ridiculous athletes. No point spending money when we have Spence looking like he’s up for it.
I reckon we will sign a LB mate. If we don't and it's Spence and Gray covering then that's OK for now but we need one eventually to compete on multiple fronts, especially when Gray plays CM full time.

Ange’s favourite move is the winger pinging in a low cross between the pen spot and six yard line. Only problem was last season we had nobody willing to stick a boot on the multiple times the cross came in. Maybe Solanke is that guy?

We must’ve had dozens of similar crosses last season that weren’t converted. I’m confident we’ll see a lot more assists from Brennan and a lot of goals from Solanke.
