Player Lucas Bergvall

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Outside of being technically good, and a very optimistic player, he seems really strong for his age, shoved Bayern players off the ball a number of times.

I get the impression if we as a club haven’t moved forward in 1-2 years Real or Bayern will come calling. Physically a beast, exceptional on the ball, a good brain and only 18.

Second half he bullied the Bayern midfield pushing their players off the ball multiple times fairly then was classy on the ball.

He looked more like Real lent us a player for the game to try and even it up a bit.

if its true that he has turned down barca then he must of been promised lots of first team football surely. he looks perfect for the prem, silky on the ball and can more than hold his own off it. hes deceptively a bit of a unit.

dont like to compare to the scum but he feels like he could be to us what odegaard is to them. although he offers far more than odegaard off the ball.

maddison is under big pressure.

In theory based on performance only he should start against Leicester over Maddison, but 1. Its Maddison return to Leicester (shit argument but we know it matters) 2. He struggled playing 45 minutes so far, so coming from bench for last 30 minutes seems optimal to me from fitness perspective. So far, he made much bigger impact than i predicted - he will play a lot. Great tackle and assist today for our 2nd goal.

Not sure how Maddison has been doing on the training track but he has not played well in the friendly games. I know they are about building fitness but he seems way off the pace, hopefully he can flick the switch. On form Bergvall should start against Leicester, he looks the real deal. Not sure Ange is ready for that yet.
