Last season Eze got 11 goals and 4 assists in 27 games.

Madders managed 4 goals and 9 assists in 28 games.

Considering Madders was as useful as a chocolate kettle after his "return" from injury, there isn't much in it.

Not sure why there's so much clamouring for him.
He was injured a bit too like Madison. Made 26 appearances not sure how many as a start or sub.
He's better at taking players on from the bits I've seen.

And people, people, is it actually important WHEN we've signed a player???

Is it THAT important to win a discussion???

So important that we need to pester a thread that is almost impossible to keep up with as it is?

Not my set up just making the point.

The issue isn't when Maddison is fit, it's when he isn't.

However, I can see a world where Ange has looked at Bergvall and Kulusevski and is less concerned about a rotation for Maddison now.

We still need a player who forces teams to defend us with the ball at our feet. We have the CF who forces CBs to defend him, if we get a 1v1 threat our front line is much much healthier than it was. If that's Eze, Adingra or whoever else they are cooking then at this point I don't really care.

Between Bergvall and Kulu we are well covered for the creative role, seriously how many 10s do we need?

Buying Ese just doesn't add to anything whilst fixing nothing.

You also have to factor in Eze was playing Hodgson sufferball for half the season. Essentially 10 men behind the ball and feeding on scraps.
Also Maddison Before the Chelsea Game was literally world class however if we see the Maddison we had when he came back from Injury we need to have an alternative ready as he was shite! Maybe having good competition for his place will also be a good thing !
