But that's not Conte's fault that Levy gave Stellini the job lol.
It was Contes fault that he needed to make a decision on who to take over.
Levy chose the continuity of maintaining Contes project by keeping Stellini. That was the whole point.

Yeah that's it, it was the same thing against Chelsea last season, we let players in at our back post unmarked, this is clearly coaching not personal.
For example Dragusin was in the wall, he's our tallest and most physical player - why is he not in the centre to head the ball away, just stupid basic shit like that which shouldn't be happening really.
honestly seems like you're getting your excuses in early just in case we continue to be horrendous at defending set pieces. It was a lapse in concentration from what I remember. But the point I’m making is that it was a completely different goal to the ones we had issues with last season. There wasn’t a player obstructing the GK. but the narrative just sees set piece goal.
Now maybe we do have an issue with back post goals from set pieces this season and that needs to be fixed but it’s not the same unaddressed issue from last year.

So then the 8th place finish is down to Levy not Conte, as I keep saying he had us 4th when he left. That's not worse than Ange's first full season. It was Contes fault that he needed to make a decision on who to take over.

You trying to differentiate between the type of goals we are conceding from set pieces is a pointless exercise ( unless it's from a direct free kick or penalty).
we were appalling at defending set pieces even without one of the opposition players supposedly fouling Vic. We looked vulnerable and looked like conceding far more the we should. Height wise we were not even a small team yet still looked weak and inept at defending them.
You say we will improve this season and I hope so but if we are still conceding set piece goals regularly nobody is going to say "oh but the corner is different then the ones we conceded last season".
Sigh...Look I'm a fan of the manager but ignoring an obvious issue is just being ignorant really, just covering your eyes and hoping that it goes away is just denying reality.
You should watch this actually, it explains it much better than I can.

Ahh. The forum psychologist is here.People are positioning themselves to cope, seen is all over social media as well, a number of our fans are expecting him to be sacked and are just waiting for the outcome, makes them feel better and more acceptance if it does actually happen I guess.

I got 4 minutes in and just thought I need to watch the actual clips for myself to go do the analysis.
You can’t point at a zonal marking system and freeze frame it when the players aren’t matched up man for man to say the zonal system isn’t working. If you can play the video and see the whole sequence then that’s different.
You also can’t pick screen shots from open play and set pieces to compare unless you are certain that we use a zonal system from open play. I really really doubt we defend zonally from open play.
You also can’t say “this exact problem happened all last season” then not show an example.
I’d say that 4 minutes I watched was a perfect example of how NOT to analyse sport. I get they are fans but that’s kind of what I’m saying.
Anyway, whatever… we will either be good or bad from set pieces and no matter what happens, every goal we concede from a set piece will somehow magically become the exact same goal we have always conceded and it will be the end of days. I’d better just get used to it and the coaches had better do a good job of working on set pieces.
did you watch it?
he's 100% getting his excuses in early by now differentiating between types of set pieces we are conceding. He knows full well its an issue but he is so pro Ange he can't bring himself to admit it.There was literal examples of it happening last season in the video you nitwitIf you watched maybe more than 4 mins of it then you would have known that.
Anyway I can't be arsed to argue this point, every man and his dog will tell you we have blatant issues at set pieces and there's are videos out there showing that this is the case but you seemingly are the only one denying it, anyway I'll let you live in your castle of delusion and deny it...have fun.

We have issues with set pieces. No denying that.
If those two morons lost me with the banality of their 2 Bob fanalysis after 4 minutes that’s on them. If they did add some shonky screen shot of previous issues later in the video, they were probably equally unrelated to comparing zonal marking at set pieces to open play situations.
There have been decent looks at our set piece issues. That wasn’t one of them.

Yeah they were slightly over-exaggerating a little but there's enough there which tells it's own story, we have structural problems and if we can see it then our opponents are definitely seeing it, if I'm an opposition manager I'm telling my team to play for free kicks around our area because you will 100% get chances against us.
They weren’t over exaggerating, they were doing shit analysis with amateur processes. And presenting the results with scary levels of confidence to all 15 of their subscribers.
