The managers priority is to cut down on players.
1 isn’t that the clubs priority as they deal with the ins and outs, why is that the main job of the manager.
2 Boehy never lets the managers choose who they want anyway hence why Poch wanted out so doubt he will get a say.
3 Chelsea seems more like a people smuggling operation these days, a farm for football lads from around the world.
Honestly not sure what to make of it all. Nuts.
I think your last sentence is key. I can't think of a Club, other than Man U since Radcliff bought in, who push out as much stuff in the media. Utd are making themselves available to create and control a new narrative around them (I also think Radcliff is creating his own brand which is important to him for flogging shit ugly cars) but with Chavs I'm convinced it's misdirection, there's an endless faceless stream of info that's been pumped to their key Journo's like "reducing wage bills", easily meeting FFP/PSR, style of play etc.. on all of these subjects thousands of words have been written and spoken, not once does it reflect the reality.
The latest person enlisted to push their message is Ornstein.....

1. Lower wage bill = reality is highest actual $ and % wage increase in Europes top 5 leagues (Sterling £325kpw, Enzo £180kpw, Caciado £150kpw, Cucurella £175kpw, Fofana £200kpw, Nkunku £195kpw) These are massive wages. Now, yes many of the other new players are on smaller wages, take Cole Palmer for example was signed with a salary of £80kpw, and they've now just given him a pay rise. £80kpw now almost certainly around £100kpw is NOT a small wage!! Their wage bill is the 2nd highest in the league. In this TalkSport piece, the guy who's sat next to Ornstein goes with the narrative that their "wage bill has gone down".
2. The wages offered still have to be "competitive" or they want to sign for them e.g. I bet Neto's wages would have been similar to those that we offered, he wouldn't have signed for them if they were £50kpw less.
3. Their wage to turnover is 79% (Also up on the previous year)
4. Having 20 players on middling salaries of say £50k per week is no different to having 10 players on £100k per week.
5. Compensation - Still have to payout Poch and his team and compensate Leicester for the hire of the new manager!!
6. This flipping of players only works if it's the players that are playing and are playing well, so players like Palmer. Now name one player who has achieved this other than Palmer? Those players they've bought who don't get a look may well have decreased in value.
