Match Tottenham vs Everton Saturday 24th August 15:00

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Good to see it’s a 3pm on a Saturday.

Nothing looks to have changed from last season, which is to be expected really, when you don’t add real quality to the first 11.

1-1

Would a formation change help us? Our wingers are crap, so just let Porro and Udogie provide it.

Vic

Dragusin
Romero
VDV

Porro
Madders / Bergvall
Gray / Biss
Kulu / Bentancur
Udogie

Son
Dom

We’ll concede from a set piece I can tell you that. I’d almost bring Dragusin in especially for this game as he seems to want to attack the ball compared to all the others who seem to be scared of heading it at defensive corners.

We just need to finish better than last night. Do that and we will win but we need to score more than one goal because we are so bad defensively.

I would play;

----------------Vicario------------------
Porro----Romero---VDV------Udogie
-----------Bissouma--Bergvall--------
--Kulusevski--Maddison-Odobert--
-----------------Solanke-----------------

He's obviously not dropping Son though.

Vicario
Porro - Romero - van de Ven - Udogie
Bergvall - Bissouma - Maddison
Odobert - Solanke - Son
3-1
Solanke double
Maddison
Sonny was easily the worst player on the pitch last night. By some distance. Werner was equally useless (albeit on the wrong wing) but Son was useless.

I appreciate we aren't dropping the captain on the back of one performance, though.

Many of us think 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 fixes a lot of issues but Ange isn't going to do it. More chance of me having a three-way with Scarlett Johanssen and Florence Pugh.

He wasn't great but I think Son AND Johnson on the pitch at the same time is a problem.

Let's see how Son does when the opposite wing is occupied by someone who can beat a man and change the approach from opponents.

I personally think Johnson is better suited as a sub, but I also think that across a season Son doesn't have the legs for LW anymore. I'm not the only one.

There will be isolated cases where he just has too much class for a RB (like Newcastle home last year) but he had no real movement last night. At times his interchanging with Madders last season was brilliant.

Son - Solanke - Odobert needs to be the starting front three with Son and Odobert interchanging throughout the game to give opponents something to think about.

I'm hoping because Solanke has been here a week or so, they're still just feeling each other out on the pitch and it'll click.
