Good point on man utd (and even chelsea) looking to sign senior experienced top level players.
I'll accept someone saying they're happy with the window but for their sake hope they have the understanding that the club have not done much to be successful in the current season.

I don’t think Son has ever been a top class touchline winger. Age isn’t the biggest issue, ability is.
His best years for us have been central playing off Kane. He’s never looked good as a winger.
So what do we net from that, something in the £5m range? Not bad although I think they arguably could’ve got more for him.

Yeah, let's sign an injury-prone Neto for £60m, chuck another £65m (most up front) on Eze, £65m for Solanke and then also spend £80m on youngsters too. Brilliant! Why did nobody at the club think of that? Why did Ange not throw a hissy fit to get them?
I'm not saying I'm ecstatic at our transfer business, but we do have a pretty competent scouting department and manager, and I'm willing to see how the squad building plays out. And I'm not knee jerking after one game which, if we had put our chances away and won comfortably like we should have, would have you and everyone singing a completely different tune right now.
Maybe not because we have Europa league this season so he might get some games, but if we go out of cups early well he isn't going to get any minutes in the PL.
You know what I mean though. Every year people go on about academy kids getting games and making an impact, they never do.
Let's put a stop to fans getting excited by new transfers.
They may have an impact, they certainly aren't going to get us any closer to challenging the top 2. It's delusional to think they will. They are kids. Best we can hope for is some good potential on display, some good performances but them alone will ne nowhere near enough.
Far more likely is they will play, make some mistakes and spend most of the season on the bench and probably go again next year. That's just being realistic.

I am not gonna apologise for getting excited by good players that we have at Spurs.
It is the easiest thing in the world to say a player will flop.
Most will but who cares?

Well that's funny because it was well known all summer Neto and Eze were Ange's top two targets. If he's so injury prone why did we spend all summer talking to Mendes and Wolves trying to do a deal? But now he's gone to Chelsea it's all about how we didn't want him anyway and it's all so unrealistic haha.
Of course we wouldn't spend 80 million on the kids on top of all of them players but nobody would care would they if we'd have secured Neto and Eze or someone else of similar quality? Gray I am sure we could still afford on top of those two major signings players and Odobert was only signed because we couldn't get Neto. No coincidence we signed him days after he lost out on Neto. He was only a back up option. The fact we ended up with a kid nobody has heard of as our major wing signing this summer, is just mental. I sincerely hope he is amazing because we can't afford another dud after splashing 50 mill on Johnson, we will be in real trouble.
My opinion on our transfer business this summer has nothing to do with the Leicester game trust me.
The Clarke fee doesn’t cover half of the release money that N’Dombele chomped through this summer.
