Ange Postecoglou on Wilson Odobert:

“He's one that we identified really early on in the summer......... Obviously getting big Dom in was very important for us and we spent a lot of time working on that deal but once Dom was done there was one target and that was Wilson".

"I think he ticked all the boxes for us"

"With all the players we've signed, I think irrespective of age we’re signing them because we think they can make an impact."

"We sign players because we're still in that stage of building a team. I won’t bring players here who I don’t think can meaningfully contribute to us in the short-term and Wilson definitely will.”

........Couldn't have confirmed my comments any more could he? :harryhmm:

He did ok, but let’s not start sucking his dick just yet. The Everton right back Dixon handled him quite comfortably and he faded badly after the first half hour.

Useful debut but he’s young and very far from the finished article.

Decent debut, it's nice to have a winger who actually wants to take players on and can actually play some combinations.

He definitely improves us and will only get better himself.

Definitely faded but I think he’s gonna be great. First half looked the clear danger man, but I don’t think he’s quite up to speed and made some poor decisions especially in the second half.

They eventually just doubled up on him and it suffocated him a bit. If we had a similar threat on the other side it would've helped but because we kept going down our left to what was our obvious danger man Everton eventually did a decent job of covering him

Promising stuff against a dyche low block all in all

Good first half but faded after that - no real surprise as he's only been at Spurs one week so still learning what he should be doing and how the other players at Spurs play. Give him a few weeks and he'll last a full game.

Definitely a good signing and brings a type of winger we've been lacking
