Luka Vušković will be 18 when next season (25-26) starts, so I doubt he'll be ready. He will need another loan before he's ready for Spurs.
Dorrington, on the other hand, I hope will be ready to be understudy CB next season.
So Luka who has played 2 seasons of first team football wont be ready but Alfie who has played zero first team football will be. makes complete sense

Midfield strength. Our midfield is weak and when put to any kind of real test, domestically or when we start our Euro campaign, it will be as clear to others as it already is to me and whoever else.

Bizarre absence of prioritising an obviouscweakness. Will undo Postecoglou. No doubt if it's not rectified. It's the guy's blind spot possibly.
I don't disagree on the whole and I think the calibre of player we were linked with says he wants some sort of box to box player in that role. But we weren't able to get them - who specifically do you think comes in and plays there, and over who?

What Micky did yesterday - storming through the team before laying it off to Son - is what I'd expect that sort of player to do.

but also recouped around 45m with another 15m from the Hojbjerg option and whatever loan fee (if any) we got for Gill.

I'm not sure if we will sign anymore, but not because we've gone on some sort of spending spree already.
45m?

Emerson 15
Parrott 6.7
Skipp 25
Rodon 10

and that's not including the 17m Hojbjerg obligation.

Also getting 25% of the Jack Clarke transfer so at least 5m?
Edwards will move as well this summer and we should get it 30% ish? of that too.

GLC and Reguilon will go as well but probably loans with options/obligations.

I doubt we are done on incoming but it will be 1 more IMO just because of Europa squad places.

Edwards was moving for £15m or something so we should see £5m of that.

Obviously Ange being Ange here and having a bit of fun with the reporter but it sounds to me like he's also happy with the transfers that have been done and it will be opportunity-based if we go again. Maybe I'm reading too much between the lines but he's usually more guarded than that when he's expecting an imminent incoming.

We saw van de Ven nearly destroy his knee and Udogie go off early yesterday.

If that wasn't a sign to bring in a left sided defender, I don't know what is.

I reckon we were really going to make a move for Locko before he got his ACL

Honestly believe our business is done, big gamble relying on youngsters but, this is Tottenham run by a particular set of people.
I think the club will finish 7th, can't see without further additions anything more.

Yeah I agree and think Locko was probably the one they wanted.

Now they probably need to decide if they like the next available name on the list enough to pull the trigger. My gut feel from Ange in press conferences and interviews is that nothing is imminent and it will be if one they really like becomes available.

We also have Vuskovic coming through and then there is the likes of Ash Phillips and Dorrington a year or 2 down the line. They might be reluctant to plug gaps with players for a year or 2 that aren't ultimately at the level they want. If there is one at the level who will move this summer, they will pull the trigger IMO.
