Match Newcastle Away 1.30pm Sunday Sept 1

Doom Funk Doom Funk breathes a sigh of relief
Nah, let's be honest we make the same mistakes over and over and never do anything or learn.

Despite our 2nd half dominance not once did I feel comfortable. 1 ball in behind in a split second and they score is all it takes.

Live and die by the sword and all that. Only one way this is going for Ange.
You can talk about chances etc. But we need to score 2-3 goals a game minimum with the way we are setup. Even if you put Solanke or Richy out there, we can't rely on them scoring that volume this season.

So one player doesn't change it all

I get what your saying and I don't mean to reply to you specifically

But having Solanke in the team won't help us when we are getting carved open by simple moves

We are the easiest team to play against.
Sit back with 9 players behind the ball and break when you get the opportunity.
Newcastle did this from the 25 minute onwards and did it pretty badly but still had the easiest chance of the match to win the game

Not often I disagree with you my man, but I will here...albeit partly.

The players fucked it repeatedly up front and at the back, yes...but what do you expect from that lot? Romero, Porro, Udogie are massively overrated. Biss and Mads, our midfield leaders, are uber inconsistent. Sarr hasn't had a good game since the big bang. Odobert should be playing for Leicester or Ipswich. Kulu, Johnson, Timo...need I say anything? Sonny up front? Ditto. The squad has a whole has a glaring lack of heart, guts and intelligence. It ain't melting, it's a friggin reality.

But that suicidal defending week in week out for the past year and a bit? That's on Ange. That tiki taka slow, ponderous bullshit and that one trick of crossing it low to the 6yd box? That's on him too. Being happy with that squad? That's on him also.

9th richest club in the world. All that ballsy talk from our chairman and HC about being serious about winning. That's just fucking bullshit.

Could've lost to Leicester. Smashed the worst Everton side in decades. Beaten by the barcodes which everyone with half a brain knew was coming (and how).

Best case scenario: we'll finish 5th, with another 10ish league Ls, and might reach a semi in the domestic cup + quarters of EL. But we ain't winning shit or closing the gap on proper top clubs.
It is weird every season we have to pretend to be shocked we are average again when you have an average team on the pitch.
Odobert, Kulu, Johnson, Timo etc just scream average

That's 90% of this place. You only hear from them when we lose. It's getting shitter and shitter. Extreme to extreme. Repetitive, repetitive... Not even really having conversations either just repeating the same things over and over.
What would you have them do sir? Celebrate? When your team doesn’t play to their best, shouting out may be the best way of releasing that frustration and prepare you for the next game.

The toxicity on the forum today, while predictable, is completely unwarranted.

We missed a bagful of chances, having utterly dominated the opposition in their stadium, particularly in the second half. Shit happens.

There is a reason we bought Solanke, and his absence today highlighted that reason.

I'm still confident that we'll have a good season.

Missed opportunity... Same as Leicester.

Problem is, they don't give points for Xg and possession...

Only for 'silly little goals'!

When will managers realise this?
