Spurs going to Seattle and Chicago

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

@ ChiTownSpurs ChiTownSpurs @ InTheCity InTheCity I spoke to a guy Dave in charge of the tickets for the Tottenham game today, this is also what he said he is starting with block 134 and selling the seats going across to block 132 until they sell out, these go on sale on the 24th but he has the 20 tickets I am getting and those for the official spurs supporters club mentally set aside so he will be in touch on the 23rd,

Each of those three blocks have around 300 seats, If we can all aim to be fast on the draw whent the time comes we hopefully can all be in 134, nothing we can physically do until the 23rd really when we will get in touch with him again but seems like there will be plenty for everybody as he ensured me those 3 blocks set aside and no season ticket holders etc will be able to buy there

134 is typical away fan seating at Toyota Park, so that's not too surprising. Tickets are $65, or $39 if you are a season ticket holder.

Spurs sections for the Seattle game will be in sections 327 and 328... that's pretty much the standard away section at CLink which is in te second deck. I quite like the section but there will be much closer seats available. Tickets for the Spurs section will be $18 each. We'll be bringing up a group of between 50-60 from Portland alone. Info on a pre-game meet-up with Seattle Spurs and Portland Spurs soon.

Those are corner sections, not the best seats, that's for sure. At least the season ticket holders prices include the open practice session. This is your introduction to the Chicago Fire. The previous two teams who have come through have required you to purchase the ticket as part of a package, which included two other MLS games. Not only is there stadium in a really bad location, I hate how they are run.

I was just searching the sounders site to find out if there was any info on how to buy tickets and came upon their forum...

A few gems...

"
The trend is not good with friendlies. Barca/Chelsea to Man U to Tottenham? Can't wait to see Leeds next year.

Sure if Clint and Bale were still playing this friendly might have a little appeal. But Tottenham isn't a very exciting friendly at this point in time."
:adeninja:
"No, Tottenham is not exciting. They may be playing well as of late, but it's not like they have a deep roster of popular well known soccer stars."
:adelol:
Yeah, as opposed to the Seattle Sounders...

Seriously the Sounders fans are the worst. Pretty much the Woolwich of the MLS.

Entitled fair weather fans who waiver back and forth between thinking they deserved everything while also trying to pretend that the deck is stacked against them.

the only difference is that they've won some Open Cups.

If I can find a STH that would purchase a Spurs section ticket for me at $39 I MAY still come out for this one, I refuse to pay to fly out and spend $65 on a corner seat out of principle.

You know, I was practically jumping around when I saw that they'd be coming to town, but those are ridiculous prices. I'm sure I'll still end up going, but it's a friendly and just okay seats are going to cost me $65? Open practice will cost even more, and then I'm sure they'll hit me up for god knows what other charges. Just takes the excitement out of it is all.

I fucking agree. I just wonder if it's the Fire or Spurs that are raping us here? I will still go since I can visit family while there and I love Spurs, but I still think $65 for a corner seat is bullshit.

This one made me LOL:
Tottenham has been around for 10+ years.

Probably a combination of both, but most likely the Fire are the worst part of it. $65 for corner seats versus $18 supposedly for seats at Seattle? Granted they have a lot more seats to fill and they could be a lot further away, but this is silly.

Yeah, I was really trying hard to understand what the hell they were trying to say. This is sadly the state of American Soccer culture. Utter idiots who have no idea what they are talking about but who say it really loud.
It's pretty sad. I've tried to like the MLS, but not only is it barely on TV, but it's fucking boring. I will say now with the NBC coverage that a lot of my friends have expressed interest in the EPL, so I find that as a positive.

Also, I'd love to see some of these twats show up in a Woolwich jersey to take the piss.

Probably referring to the rise of the club, becoming "visible" or more relevant in the global scheme of the game in the last 10 years.

EDIT: The sad part is that alot of fans of the sport that dont keep up with foreign leagues probably know Spurs as the club whose fans got beat on in the opening scene of Green Street Hooligans...you know...for runna tha "yamma".

Seats in Seattle are for sure $18. That is directly from an email from the ticket rep for the Sounders.

Granted Seattle has a much bigger stadium to fill, but I still feel $65 for an exhibition is outrageous. That is 1/5 the cost of my season ticket to the Timbers.
