Conte did but then he's a winner first and foremost and could see that our entire club from Levy to half the fans have zero ambition

That's why we are so polarized as a fan base some are happy just to play pretty football and make the top four that is their ceiling, loads of them on here. This club isnt a big club but it pretends to be one
agree with a lot of that, but it is a big club. weve just backed this idiot with over 300m! the problem this club has is its run by idiots who dont know what they are doing and wasting the resources.

if youre a multi billionaire with an idea of how to actually run a football club then this club has huge potential. levy just cant get his recruitment right. 1 league cup in a quarter of a century is disgraceful, you cant put that down to bad luck. hes trying his best, of course he is, it benefits his pockets the more successful the club is, but the guys clearly fucking clueless.

hes said himself that he oversees the signings tho. today he could of been brave and shown a bit and changed the system and got some actual ball players on in the middle, instead he brings on the likes of werner!! whats he expecting to happen? be brave and get bergvall on in the middle to link up with maddison and space will open up out wide as theres a threat centrally then.

I was surprised he didn’t bring bergval on. Probably for Maddison who seems to have slipped into the comfort zone.

I haven’t seen his post match quotes as on the train home from the game but he didn’t argue against it in the summer. However I can see why. They were probably the cards he was dealt and he tried to make the best of it.

I resigned myself to the fact we’d finish mid table this season. The sooner we all do that and hope for a run in a cup the better. Then we can just try and enjoy the wins when they come. We are going backwards fast. Annoying where you’re paying thousands for season tickets but if I didn’t look at it like that I’d be far too angry.
I think the people that go need to make the ground toxic again and put more pressure on Levy. It's a disgrace that we are now behind the likes of Newcastle and Villa. As you say going backwards fast.

We've spent 350m and can you tell me has our squad got one player where you think that players is absolutely quality? Most will say romero but others will say hes not WC.
Come on.

We have some great players but Ange isn’t getting the best out of them and they are not playing to their potential.

I do think it will click but I’m disappointed that it hasn’t already and we’re capable of playing much better football.

Yeah back to basics, more solid, more difficult to beat. There is zero evidence to suggest this will turn without doing something different. This has been months in the making, its not just some little blip.

There is no evidence it will turn by doing something different either.

Tbh every time in history a good team was built it had periods like this where it looked like it wasn't going to work and the easy choice would be to quit on it and flip flop into a different direction. And yes that can be after months.

What I find odd bout the evAngelists is they seem to think other teams will sit back and let us enact this style on them with no response whatsoever. Top managers and coaches will look at what you're doing, try and work you out, and act accordingly. The other teams always have an agency of their own and in this league they usually have quite good players.

Eh?

Other teams don't choose to let us dominate the ball and repeatedly turn them over with the press. They don't have a choice because the press actually works.

It's not a great thing either though is it?

Maybe they win the prem this year and I'm wrong but until that happens Arteta is never a great coach.
I think it’s hard to ignore the fact that if it wasn’t for a financially doped City with the worlds best manager at the helm, then the scum would have won the prem the last two years.

Now Klopp has gone he’s undeniably the second best coach in the best league.

He’s still a weapon grade bell end all said and done, but anyone that knows anything about football can see he’s a really good coach.

"only three teams - Nottingham Forest along with relegated Luton Town and Sheffield United - have conceded more from such situations since the start of last season, Postecoglou's team letting in 18 excluding penalties.

And yet, when the subject was raised with Postecoglou last season, it was almost brushed off as a non-issue."

If finishing second is enough to make you the second best coach. I guess it does make you the second best team.

If Ten Hag has won the second most trophies since he arrived, does that not make him the second best coach?

Football changes fast. Let's see how great he is at the end of this season.
