Probably mentally scarred after ponying up for Ndombele’s wages too.
True but if we use that as an excuse we will amount to nothing.

Cup competition is different. If finishing second is enough to make you the second best coach. I guess it does make you the second best team.
If Ten Hag has won the second most trophies since he arrived, does that not make him the second best coach?
Football changes fast. Let's see how great he is at the end of this season.

He's really doubling down

Guardiola would do a fucking lot better with our squad than this gormless 1D coach.People still pointing the finger at the wrong person
It’s always the mangers fault isn’t it? Funny that, it’s been the answer for 25 years
You could give Guardiola this squad and he’d struggle
We need to realise who the real villains are here
Conte didn't even walk and reigned back on his comments the next day...Mate I've not seen him smile since that City game, for me that game ended him.
He's going through the motions now picking up his wages and being a Levy yes man. It takes a winner like a Conte to walk out of a job through pride. This guy no longer gives a fuck believe it.
Probably. But get knocked out of the League cup by Coventry this week and he probably won't even be in the dug out v Brentford.
Which tells you all you need to know about Koeman, who as we speak is probably on a list of hires compiled by Levy and the Data gimp Lange.
There's a chance it is.A great manager?
Because he's finished second a couple times?
I don't care who is on the market that's better than him. Changing coaches isn't the problem solver that people think it is. Winning takes time, patience, conviction and belief. Or it takes massive financial doping a la Chelsea or City... and even then.
This club will never spend like that under these owners so it's going to be painful, disheartening and likely feel hopeless no matter what coach we have. AND, then when whichever coach we do have gets close, they will probably not give them what they need to really win because there is no evidence that they actually want to build any real expectation to win.
Come on.
We have some great players but Ange isn’t getting the best out of them and they are not playing to their potential.
I do think it will click but I’m disappointed that it hasn’t already and we’re capable of playing much better football.
Well putagree with a lot of that, but it is a big club. weve just backed this idiot with over 300m! the problem this club has is its run by idiots who dont know what they are doing and wasting the resources.
if youre a multi billionaire with an idea of how to actually run a football club then this club has huge potential. levy just cant get his recruitment right. 1 league cup in a quarter of a century is disgraceful, you cant put that down to bad luck. hes trying his best, of course he is, it benefits his pockets the more successful the club is, but the guys clearly fucking clueless.
Right so today Woolwich created loads of chances against us did they? There is a fucking chasm between how Conte played and what we see now. You can still be an attacking team without sneering at defending.
i still think he survives that. there was still chants for him today at the game lol. brentford, united, brighton and west ham next 4 league games. he probably survives that on 4 pointsProbably. But get knocked out of the League cup by Coventry this week and he probably won't even be in the dug out v Brentford.
The evidence we have from our club is that it isn’t.There's a chance it is.
Sticking with someone who is factually getting worse is guaranteed to end badly.
The players will lose faith and we'll go from games like today, to spankings. When that happens it's, to quote Aliens "game over man"
Right so today Woolwich created loads of chances against us did they?
The reason we lost today wasn't because we were carved apart.
I don't think we need to go back to being 'solid'.
I'm hoping this is parodyLast year we were 3-0 down at half time, this season we had way more control of the game and should have taken the chances we created especially in the first half.
Set pieces are an issue and need addressing. The game today was fine margins and unfortunately Woolwich took advantage through very sloppy defending.
