Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Seriously, how do people look at that as a positive thing. In nearly all of those actions he's fucked up what he was trying to do with his final touch. That shit, chipped, loopy cross at the end was typical. Even the through ball for the goal, he actually hits straight at the defender and it miraculously goes through his legs - and I say this not to be churlish, but because that's what he does 19/20 times in those positions - he did exactly the same on Sunday twice in quick succession, hit the Arse players legs when doable through balls were on.

I get that he got on the ball, and did some "bits" but it's a sign of how bereft we are of actual attacking and creative quality that people are posting up cameos like this as "good".

My main issue with Kulu is that his decision making is far too slow. He hangs on to the ball far too long. If he were a great dribbler and had pace, I could live with it. But, unfortunately, that’s not the case.

Looks like he aims to nutmeg him!

I'm not a Kulu fanboy, but you have an agenda and fit everything to that.

I even explained my reasoning for pointing it out. if he did mean it, good luck to him, great, it came off this time, but this is like Ali all over again, some ability but 19/20 times that doesn't come off and it wastes the chance, and this is what Kulusevski does the majority of the time 9 see the 25/26th minutes against Arse. This is why I have an "agenda" if that's what you eat to call it. He wasteful and the vast majority of what he tries fails to hit it's intended target - just watch that brief highlight reel above.

Agreed with you about him during the scum game. He wasted several great high turnovers.

In this game his energy changed the game and he broke their defensive confidence by beating players and lucky or not his assist turned the tide.

He’s been a pressing monster all season and if he starts converting those high turnovers into G/As he’s probably our best player atm.

That’s the thing though- a LOT of goals are scored this way. Many players do exactly this. I get you don’t fancy his style of play but at least don’t make some case that megging players isn’t a complete goldmine of chances, goals and assists. It absolutely is.

The problem with football purism is that it often fails to recognise that the vast majority of games don't play out according to a purist agenda and it cannot accept that a player as technically weak as (eg) Sissoko can still positively affect a game with the attributes that they do bring to the table.

......Fuck-ups, turn-overs, the force of graft, the force of will can all (and regularly do) prevail from week to week over technical and tactical ability.

Kulu isn't a perfectly rounded player; but he IS a good one and he IS a fighter.

If he didn't play for us, he'd show just how good he is. Same with Johnson and probably Solanke (although of course it's too soon to say that about the latter). That makes me think there's an issue with how we approach the game

Why don’t you save yourself the time and just not make any comments about kulusevski?

I value your takes on many of our other players but your views on Kulusevski are some of the most biased posts I’ve ever seen on here.

It’s at the level of Kanedombadboy or whoever that was that absolutely hated Kane.

Plenty of people say positive and negative things about Kulusevski and none of them bother me like yours. I’m sure I’m not the only one annoyed by your constant Kulusevski treatment.

Thought he was brilliant today. Several times where he dropped his shoulder to open up space inside the box. Unlucky not to provide a goal or assist today.

How do you ignore the fact that he wasted so many chances to actually do something of substance? Time after time after time him and the other bumblers are absolutely destroying good work done to put them in good situations.

And just to be clear, it’s not only Kulusevski, Son is just as bad. The bloke had a simple 3 yard lay off to Johnson to put him clean through, and fucking over hits it.

It drives me fucking nuts. It must be killing Ange.

I know you’re not a fan but I’d venture to guess that he’s the least of Ange’s worries with regard to all of our “bumblers.”

I thought Son was significantly worse than Dejan at wasting chances today.

Timing will come as the season progresses though.
