Yes. Rush from a metre or two away, get between keeper and the landing zone of the corner coming across, then face away from the keeper, stand shoulder-to-shoulder and lean backwards. An effective two-man screen. If defenders manage to get between them and the keeper (as Madders and Micky did when we conceded vs Arse last week), it is still an effective screen, possibly more so because now there are 4 bodies in the way.
Interesting that Ederson decided to bump into the screeners and fall over, on both the goal and the previous corner. I guess he was testing the resolve of the Ref re the pre-season PGMOL statement that "the offence of holding (ie blocking or obstructing) will be penalised more stringently in set pieces, when an attacker is trying to stop the movement of an opponent"
It looks like the interpretation is still that if the attackers are relatively stationary and facing away from the keeper at the time of contact, it's not a foul. If that's the case then expect to see more teams employing this tactic from corners.
It's ugly football and personally I think the game would be improved if attackers were excluded from the 6 yard box until after the corner is kicked.
