Competition Carabao Cup

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If you’re going to play the top teams, at least play them in the early rounds. If this was the final, I’d say no chance but we have a chance now

Next round v Man City on 28 October - so I guess PL match v Palace (27 Oct) gets postponed

Match before : 24 October - EL match v Alkmaar (H)

Match after : 3 November - PL Spurs v Villa (likely we need to go strong v a direct rival for 4th place)
No, it’s the week starting 28th October. Matches will be played on the Tuesday and Wednesday. No matches will be played on the Monday and no PL matches will be postponed.

We should be Wednesday because we’re playing Sunday.

You could argue that the draw isn't all bad..

If we lose, we can play the old "concentrate on Europe/the League" card. We would have had to play City or another of their ilk at some point - if we're to go out, make it sooner rather than later.

If we surprise everyone and win, it will be a major boost to our self-esteem. We'll feel we can take on all-comers.

And we're at home.

Bring it on. Dare to dream, dare to do and all that jazz.

Hopefully our injured players will be back by then. And our young players must be ready to get minutes against Palace and Villa. Important that Ange doesn't just play them 3 minutes per game. Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Lankshear needs 30 minutes here and there to get up to speed.

Such a load of negative Nancy's in our fanbase.....we're supposed to be a big 6 CLUB for fuck sake and we've just been drawn, AT HOME, to another Big 6 club.
Instead of embracing what is tie of the round we're acting like a bunch of simpering pussies cursing our luck and meekly bowing down to accept our fate.
Honestly, I despair at our fan base sometimes. I really do.

Their manager has already said he's basically sacking it off so all depends how seriously we want to take it. As long as no one calls it a 'free hit' like some wet wipes did in the FA cup. With Brighton v Liverpool and Newcastle v Chelsea there is an opportunity if we get through this.
