Balls.

Ask ETH & Klopp whether it meant anything to them?

Jose lauded it both times he won it in the last decade too.
You're daft if you really think Klopp is going to say openly that he didn't care that much about winning that cup. His priorities were always the EPL and the CL, then the FA cup and last the League cup.
Ten Haag and Man Utd are desperate to win anything but still the EPL and CL are their main priorities. Under Fergie they couldn't care less about the cup and that set a precedence.
When Jose managed Chelski he also fielded a second string team - until semis and the final.
Anyway, if you rather have Spurs win the Carabao cup and qualify for the European League over qualifying for the CL, and that you think all the big clubs will everything they can to win that cup, well, feel free to do so.

There being a scale of prestige across the 4 trophies doesn't mean and manager, player (or a fanbase) doesn't care about a trophy they're competing for..... Highly competitive pros want to win; period.

How deep is this barrel you're gonna scrape.....? Man U are not winning the EPL or CL nor looked like it over that period in question.

Big teams with big expensive squads get rotated cos they can afford to and their calendars dictate it.

Again; prioritising a bigger comp doesn't establish that they didn't care about winning the LCup.

Strawman bollocks..... But; I'd rather win the LC than get top four for (roughly) the 10th time in the last 15 years since we won a trophy... Regardless of any comp it may or may not qualify us for.

This way we get to beat them both, plus Chelsea.

:levylol:

To be honest, if we ran that gauntlet it'd be the most impressive trophy any club has won in quite some time.
