The double creative pivot experiment with Maddison and Kulu has to become permanent now. Maddison sometimes dropping deep to collect the ball with Kulu filling in for the creativity in the middle has to be the best formational adjustment I've seen Ange make. It means there's never a creative hole.
It might be quite attack heavy at times but our pressing (which is easily the best in the league right now) is shifting the defensive job to the final 3rd. Very impressive improvements recently.

Despite United are not in very good form I think we have done pretty well today, smashed them even when they have eleven and we were a lot better upfront, finishing our plays. Considering they have a good defense and midfield we didn't lost the ball many times leading to counters and weren't much in danger. Also we have a lot of players in their best form it seems, Kulu, Bentancur, Maddison, Johnson, Micky, Vicario. Don't want to be carried away but today I'm very happy with what we've shown.
Market is dead , Southgate, potter or tuchel. Don't think United would take a creative risk with an unknown either

It's getting to a point with them where it's not even about who replaces him.. When half the fans are leaving a game with 15 minutes to go, it'll get so poisonous that they have to be seen to be doing something. Even if it's Van Nistelrooy in the short term.
He'll go under the radar but he was absolutely top class. Nothing spectacular but really safe on the ball, which was all we needed from him. Didn't lose it once, and was a rock defensively and great in the press. Brilliant showing all round. Typical we now lose him but so glad for him he seems to be back to his pre-injury form.
