It was a blatant red card from Fernandes, the scrawny prick went for Maddison. Yeah he didn't probably quite get the contact he wanted but he still wanted to take him out.

The intent was as clear as day.

Nah... Ange is handling it just right.......
But can we afford to have a winger that needs more chances to score a goal than Ken in A fish called Wanda needs to say The Cathcart Towers Hotel?! I dont really wanna slag Werner off, he had a good game (finishing aside) but man...he has to score at LEAST one of those two where he is clear with the keeper.

But that's all just Werner-based analysis........ No note of what's best for Moore.

The assumption that Moore is ready to start away at OT (or next week v Brighton) is utterly unfounded.

He's barely turned 17 and already had 22mins at OT and made his European debut in the space of 4 days....... He'll be buzzing, but he has all the time in the world.

Odobert is expected back in a couple of weeks.

He finally looked dangerous today- his take on and shot were fantastic. I’m keen to see him get a bit more involved in the defensive mix but he is coming along wonderfully for a 17 year old.

"Dom Solanke is fucking class, Mik Arteta takes it up the arse, 60 million down the drain, Dom Solanke scores again"

I still think he should be given the chance ahead of Werner, not saying he should play every game etc, but Son and Odobert arent injured long term are they? I would rather see Moore than Werner for a few games until Son is back.

For all that Werner is getting kicked, he beat his man every time that he tried. I was actually astounded at how dangerous he looked when doing so, despite simultaneously looking bereft of confidence. Yes, his finishing is sub par but he offered something from our wide play that we didn't have last year. I've seen Son have many a game where he's offered next to nothing for the duration. This was far from that, for Werner.

Also Kulu was astounding today. We all know about how well he uses his body but his runs, positioning and touches (from a central position, which requires a shift in approach) at times were a level beyond anything I've seen him do before. Almost revolutionary, in fact

Was on a hike today so basically missed the entire game. How were we in the first half before the red card?

Good. We were better first half than second - or at least better first hour. ManU were really fucking garbage though, half arsed kind of press which as soon as we broke once diminished into a half arsed mid blocky thing and as we scored early they had no fucking clue really how to play tactically. We just bossed the ball and actually cut them open, for a change making our possession and position count, even 11 v 11.

It's your typical Spurs dichotomy. Werner can actually beat a man, but is fucking atrocious at finishing, Son can't beat a man, but you'd fancy him to finish at least 1 of those if not 2 - well, at least the old Son, not sure about the current version.

We need to sign a player who can beat a man and isn't total clown shoe in front of goal.

His touch and quick feet have always been apparent.. but played on the right wing it was often overshadowed by his lack of acceleration.... By midfielder standards, as we've seen he isn't slow .. But he just ain't 'winger quick' .
