Match Europa League - Ferencváros vs Tottenham. 5:45, Thursday 3rd October

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Think they were all poor with the ball generally took it to casual. Give Johnson the goal although I’m sure that took a deflection. Otherwise he was like the others. Only Moore looked threatening running with the ball.
You have to remember Johnson is only interested in assisting and scoring … so he’ll be happy with his evening’s work

The other 3 will be disappointed

Handball!
That was the 17th take

Tough away game on a wet, slick pitch in a hostel environment. Rotated players well. Got the win and 80% of our starting 11 will be fresh for Brighton.

Could have bagged a few more goals but overall and ideal outcome. Mikey Moore looks like he could be a real special player. Fearless and willing to take on a man and shoot. Excited for him.

Heavy legs and a heavy track, on top of 5 games in 2 weeks, would have been a bigger risk IMO than the risk of dropping points here. We would have recovered quicker from a loss here than from, say, hamstring injuries to Micky and Dom.

And then we won anyway while protecting some key players so perfect outcome.
Exactamundo. Rotation for these games is absolutely vital, saving our key players from potential fatigue and injury, getting fringe and sub players important minutes etc. Has to be done especially against QB, Coventry and Ferencvaros!
We are fresh for the big game on Sunday now;)

It's not just about resting players either, it's also about keeping as many in your squad in form and up to match fitness.

Right now we have a reasonably settled 11 but if we need to swap in a player or 2, we now have the following getting regular football:

Spence
Gray
Dragusin
Davies
Bissouma
Sarr
Bergvall
Werner

That's 19.

Odobert would make that list 20 if he wasn't injured and the two kids Moore and Lankshear make it 22. We will need that across the whole season.
Exactly.

Think player management has been very good this season. Ange is not running the best players into the ground, and is giving the youngsters and fringe players a good run out.

And, most important, it has made us look better and more healthy, not more fragile
