Tactics with no midfield was a bold choice, and got absolutely murdered throughout.

Ultimately as well too many cooks, which meant no balance anywhere on the pitch... Hopefully lesson learnt. Doubt it will stop the entire football public and media demanding the Rice-Bellingham-Foden axis of unbalanced awful.

Carsley's selection and approach looks silly after that, but didn't help that Saka, Bellingham, Foden, Gordon, Rice, Palmer, Trent, Lewis were all utter shit.

I dunno.

Iceland really was something special. It was dogshit perfected.
From what I remember it was a game where we had possession (without doing much) created some chances early, then went flat and got caught out. But there was control.

Greece were better in every facet here attacked so much better, defended really, really well and totally nullified our midfield. They competed way better too.

Embarrassing performance from start to finish. That defending made Spurs look like peak AC Milan from the late 80s/early 90s.

That Lewis kid has no right being in the England team. Foden is awful for the NT. Palmer was garbage tonight...guess it's harder to score when you don't get gifted 168 pens a season. Rice? Lol. Bellingham is a dick but at least he cares.

Friggin well done Greece, you were brilliant. Way to honour their fallen comrade.

They were shit because they were all selected.

Ultimately they’re all bigger than the manager so he didn’t have the power to not play any of them. Pathetic really.
