IIRC Owen had a very significant hamstring injury that wasn’t treated correctly (should have had corrective surgery like Kane) as it would be in today’s game.Agreed
Michael Owen was overplayed by Liverpool when young, he started playing most games Liverpool played aged 18.
Pretty much washed up aged 24 or 25, moving to playing a kind of AM role (but not looking more than an average player) as he'd lost the electric pace and other skills to play as striker.
What’s Mikey done to piss off Madders?!
IMHO Neymar is one of the most over rated players in football history!
You fucking what?105 goals and 76 assists in 174 starts for Barcelona
118 goals and 77 assists in in 162 starts for PSG
Brazils top ever goalscorer
I'll take seeing half of that for Moore at Spursrealistically, he probably won't even achieve a a fifth.
So... you say that his playingtime should be managed?
Agreed.
And then you say...what?
According to my understanding playing 45 minutes on RW is still playing 45 minutes.
So yesterday it actually WAS a case where he still played lot of minutes, but in order to fit Werner in, he was playing 45 of the minutes just in less comfortable position for him.
Which DOES in fact seemed subpar considering the long term view.
I am not saying that between them two 100% of minutes should go to Moore.
But when there is such dilemma that both play and one has to play out of position, there should be zero question at all.
Moore is long-term player with high ceiling.
Werner is last resort player with absolutely no future with us past current season.
Werner could post similar numbers in those teams alongside Messi, Suarez etc.!105 goals and 76 assists in 174 starts for Barcelona

Hater
You miserable bugger.
The core of your message is fine, at around level 3. But you turned it up to 11 and distorted the whole thing .
Kids his age have no fear a and play with joy and freedom, let's celebrate what we are seeing. And not spout the words of prophets of doom whilst figuratively pissing on your own shoes.
Well if you can’t see his talent then I don’t know what to say. It’s obvious he isn’t just “another youngster”. He looks ready. He looks like the level of player that Rooney, Fowler, Owen, Bale etc went on to become when they got a chance at the similar age. Whether he goes on to have that kind of career is unknown, but when you’ve seen enough of these players at that age it’s obvious they are above the level of just another young player. It’s probably safe to say he’s not going to be another Andy Turner.
Andy Turner actually won a trophy (the Midland Alliance with non-league Chasetown in 05/06):Well if you can’t see his talent then I don’t know what to say. I think when people say "better" they mainly refer to technical ability and that is completely unrelated to age.I do see his talent. He's 17 and definitely looks ready to play at the senior level which is special in itself. But I think it's a disservice to him and players like Johnson to say he's "already better." It takes a lot to be a top footballer. There is a lot of ups and downs and how you respond to those.
You can see if players have got the technical ability or not when they're at this stage, and clearly this kid has the technical ability.I think when people say "better" they mainly refer to technical ability and that is completely unrelated to age.
Moore clearly is a much more technically gifted player than Werner. Whether he goes on to score the goals Werner did and command transfer fees of 50m+ is dependent on a lot more factors.
Can you put another "in" in there please?very careful and deliberate approach to breaking Mikey in the best way possible..
For all his lovely, mazy runs it's his passing/positioning that has impressed me most. Almost every ball is weighted to perfection and he's always in the right area. You can see if players have got the technical ability or not when they're at this stage, and clearly this kid has the technical ability.
What's also very promising is he doesn't seem to have to rely on pace nor does he seem overly blessed with pace which speaks to how good he must be technically to be training and playing with the first team at this age without obvious physical talents bar his height.
I did reflect after posting that about Bale too. Appreciate he had a pretty amazing career but think it was hampered by the injuries he got playing for us under BMJ when his body hadn’t fully developed. Definitely impacted the number of games he could play long term. Whereas I think Kane benefited from not breaking through early. Guess it’s hard to say as they’re all individuals.
