I think about this interview more than is healthy.
He fucked up at Spurs, called Vertonghen out as not being able to sort his feet out and didn’t pick him . Then got the tin tack from Villa , was even worse at Swindon .He then became a pundit and managed to call a penalty instead of a free kick because he mixed up which team was attacking which goal.

He seemed to dislike foreign players with the exception of Adebayor IMHO , it was like having Farage as manager , I think he was a total plank . Clearly trying to shift the blame in my view.

Talk about people trying to rewrite history with this guy

Decent leader as a Captain if I am trying to be fair

Still more fun to watch than AVB though.

There was definitely some disdain in the ‘everyone in the club talks about fourth’ bit.
But it wasn't in terms of its being a poor goal. It was in context of the fact we'd finished 4th twice in 20+ years, had just finished 5th and were on our way to 6th with a club which couldn't bring the fight and resolve to beat the "big" teams.

People are packing a decade of hindsight into that and misconstruing what he's saying.

We'd just lost to Chelsea 4-0, and fallen 6 points off 4th in March. Chelsea were leaders and 10 points clear with 10 remaining. City were 8 points ahead in 2nd.

I don't think Tim was saying we ought to be focused on the title. He was saying we didn't have the mental toughness to realistically compete for 4th year in and year out and needed to sort the squad out.

Sherwood is a bitter twat and a shite manager with almost zero football knowledge but even a stopped clock is right twice a day. The quiet, timid attitude has been an issue for years.

Just look at this Redknapp era article from 12 years ago:

‘We have a lot of quiet boys - a very quiet team,' said Redknapp.

'Even William [Gallas] and Ledley [King] are quiet boys. We've not got one who I would say was very vocal in there. Only Michael Dawson, who we lost with injury, is a bit of a leader.’

Sorry I see it as , we just got stuffed 4 nil , don’t blame me . I admit all my views on Sherwood are biased as I genuinely think he is a fool . Nothing will convince me his opinions warrant listening too

levy himself must be sick of it. he cant get it right, i think he is trying his best but the facts speak for themselves. hes seen as a joke in football. hes at that level of wealth where more money is just figures on a screen its not going to change his life, his lifestyle isnt changing.

hes gone from conte to fucking postecoglou hahaha. literally just chucking shit at a wall now and hoping something sticks. been a chairman of a premier league football club for 25 years and thinks some kamikaze bloke whos managed in scotland, australia and japan is the answer, hes clearly not got it and never will if this is what he coughs up after 25 years.

literally waiting for the guy to drop dead at this point it looks like.
He’s actually got worse despite so much experience. He should be getting better.

I dunno. I thought it was a bit double edged. Like, everyone at this Club is obsessed with fourth and we can’t even achieve that anyway sort of deal. Maybe projection.

I don’t either. I do think there was some sort of dig in there at the putting of fourth on a pedestal in general.

Like, we are nowhere near this, and this shouldn’t be the aim anyway. We should aim to win stuff. Not necessarily the title but finishing in fourth place shouldn’t be the aim.

He’s a bit of an idiot. But that rant was still extremely on point.

Stupid people say correct things sometimes.

Agree he was a wanker. He was an embarrassment as one manager. However he said some correct things along with some of our players forgetting about the game before they got on the bus.

Liverpool are one of the biggest and most popular clubs on the planet. Of course, players want to play there. Liverpool as a City has strong a cultural identity which can be seen with how Klopp embraced the City and its people. I've never seen a Spurs coach fall in love with the Fried Chicken and Kebab shops of Tottenham high road.

You only have to see the City Documentary on Amazon to see the difference between the clubs. On one hand, you have a party atmosphere at City; and at Spurs, its likely a graveyard of introverts. Of course, City brought their success by overspending and cheating - but they did hire a bunch of mercenaries to do that. I don't see Tevez kissing the City badge anymore.

Sure, Spurs could go out and pay 300k+ a week for the very best players in every position - and sure, they would probably start winning trophies - but that isn't going to happen under the financial scrutiny of the EPL now. Spurs simply cannot convince the best players, when the package is the same who do you choose - United, Spurs, Liverpool, City, Madrid, Barca? Players come to Spurs because none of the other top clubs wanted them - because they aren't good enough.
The way gerrard carried & got Liverpool over the line I think was from a lot of love & desire for the city. Compare that to ndembele. Terry putting his body on the line for Chelsea every week. You can’t buy that passion & heart. To be successful You need good technical players obviously. But you also need 1 or 2 with a lot of heart & fight when things are falling apart. Kompany really took to Manchester & he was vital in getting them over the line many times. & puyol for Barcelona was a good example too.
I think the other problem with ENIC & levy not striving for success on the pitch. Some Players join us for an easy ride in London on decent money with no pressure to succeed & win things & in lovely facilities. It’s levy & ENICs Tottenham, they don’t do winning. Everyone knows that. It’s just about profit & property portfolios.

Just in the Ange thread and the usual convo taking place. With the fixtures we have coming up we are well on track to sack another manager by Christmas.
If he doesn't meltdown like Conte before then... he is bubbling.

Not that I even like or care about Ange, just bored of the usual cycle. And how obllvious our fanbase seem to be when it plays out in the same way every single fucking time.

I don't even have any hope any more. If Levy would just do the honourable thing and fuck off.

Sell up, please..... I'm begging............ you bald cunt
& to rub salt in the wounds we get told to thank levy for sacking his bad appointment choice who failed.
