KANE should have been Tottenham till I die. Academy product and talisman. He should have refused any approach from other teams and given 100% to Spurs. Instead, he openly spoke of dreams of playing for a 'big club' and said winning international tournaments was his priority.
Club is happy to finish 8th -10th each year.

Our struggles to win major trophies under ENIC’s ownership can be attributed to several factors:
1. Financial strategy and transfer policies - overly cautious financial approach. Whilst we've invested in infrastructure off the pitch, we've been far from aggressive in spending on top-tier players compared to the clubs around us. We went through several transfer windows under Poch without signing a single goddamn player.
2. Managerial instability - since ENIC took over in 2001, we've had something like 15/16 permanent managers. Utterly ridiculous.
3. Competition - Premier League is highly competitive, with clubs like City, Liverpool and Chavs using significant financial backing to achieve success, leaving us in their wake.
4. Fan Discontent - Ongoing discontent among our fans regarding ENIC ownership, creating at times a negative/poisonous atmosphere around the club (to be clear this is ENIC's fault).
Despite these challenges, there have been some positives, such as the development of young talent and the financial stability of the club. However the lack of silverware remains a significant point of frustration.

you claim to be someone who holds our history in the highest esteem and you act like you have this deep intrinsic knowledge of our players and form from years past. Please actually be honest - did you know who we were buying 10 years ago or were you just saying this cos you're upset at our owners and the results? Do you really think that list is a higher calibre of player (when they were purchased, not what they became) than those we have purchased the last couple of years?
With potential investment coming from the Middle East I wonder if we will see a Steve Bruce situation develop? Where the investors will want to see nice shiny things, and not see a late middle aged VB drinker coughing over his sound bites. This situation would give Levy all the cover in the world to deal with the problem that was created by him.
There was a brief rumour that if Staveley buys a stark in Spurs she would look to replace Ange with Eddie Howe.

Anything can happen in football (almost), but you're probably right. Certainly no chance of the league anyway.
It's always an outside possibility, but it will take a huge strength of mind from the manager and the senior players to get any cup win over the line, the club is NOT set up to instil a winning drive.
