Now 7th after only a third of the season played. There are only 6 points between Villa in 12th place and Woolwich in 2nd.
Let's at least wait until the end of the season before comparing this Spurs team with previous ones.
Why dont levy just own up and say we cant match the ambitions of our fans. Reason? He knows his job would be untenable.
Agree. But to be fair to Ange (and I know most don't want to be right now
) he was left short in Summer and now has a genuine crisis on his hands which is only going to be exacerbated by the schedule this month.I am resigned to us crashing out of the League Cup and EFL now. We'd need a full squad to compete with the schedule and we just don't.

The FULL squad is just about good enough for us to reasonably expect to compete for Top 4 and a cup run.
We are playing with HALF a squad and paying the price for only signing one first teamer in summer.
The same people who rightly moan about the latter somehow believe we should be smashing everyone while half our first team is injured.

The thing I least liked about Spurs performance was seeing how much of a problem Iowbi was for the defense. Not a bad player at all, but he looked like a lot more than he is since we couldn't seem to defend him or prevent the ball from coming to him in good positions. Often, when you see a team losing a particular match up they go in at the half, sort it out and things improve. That just never happened.
Because we can match the ambition of our fans. But saying that we won't or we can't will simply expose him for the utter, unbridled fraud that he is.
I don't disagree but 7 more points would have us outright second. Is that where you expected us to be at the start of the season?
